Never really saw the point to this feature. I am turning right, I can see what cars are coming, so I don't really need a distorted view of the same vehicles !
When it pops up there is a cog top right where you can turn it off. I agree it's annoying. At the moment when I stop at traffic lights and indicate turn screen shows me a side of a car I am turning to. I don't an t this to happen. It makes it difficult to use sat nav as screen exits sat nav at every traffic lights and reconnects once turn is completed
Thanks I turned my off way better makes navigation so much easier in unfamiliar places. I am less of a risk to other drivers when I know where I'm going. When it pops up there is a cog top right where you can turn it off. I agree it's annoying.
Do you mean the camera coming on when using the indicators?I wish you could turn this thing off completely. It's such a pain in the neck when it fights with Android Auto for control of the screen - when you're indicating the screen flashes. It's ridiculous.
Thanks, but I've already turned that off. That option just turns the cameras off at low speed. I really don't want it using the cameras at all, they're not good enough or placed well enough for that purpose anyway and the screen's too small to make it useful. It works in the Tesla because the screen is much larger and the images are a high enough quality. For me, they're just a pointless annoying distraction on the MG.Do you mean the camera coming on when using the indicators?
You can turn this off by activating the camera screen, then press the little 'cog' icon at the bottom right of the screen, you'll then see an option to turn on/off 'Camera activation when using turn signals', or words to that effect.
I do. But that option only disables them at low speeds. The screen still flashes like crazy if AA is using it and the indicators are used at higher speeds. I'm beginning to think they gave the software development process to their local junior school as a fun project.Oh ok, unfortunately I don't think you can turn the cameras off completely, I thought you meant disabling them when using the indicators.
Other than with turn signals and reversing, when else do they come on ?Oh ok, unfortunately I don't think you can turn the cameras off completely, I thought you meant disabling them when using the indicators.
If you don't turn them on then you won't have to turn them off, so I don't understand why you're asking if you can turn them off permanently, just don't turn them on.You can turn them on manually...
They turn on automatically when you use the indicators. You can't stop them doing that. And when they turn on, they fight with Android Auto for control of the screen resulting in it flashing. That's the problem. If you don't turn them on then you won't have to turn them off, so I don't understand why you're asking if you can turn them off permanently, just don't turn them on.![]()
Ah I get it now, you meant you have turned them off but they still come on.They turn on automatically when you use the indicators. You can't stop them doing that. And when they turn on, they fight with Android Auto for control of the screen resulting in it flashing. That's the problem.
My ZS side cameras never turn on when indicating at speeds higher than 5-10 mph and when they do, the screen just switches from AA to camera view without flashing ... the only time it annoys me is when there are number of quick and slow turns whilst using google navigation screen and I need to see the map ...They turn on automatically when you use the indicators.
