Racing green discontinued?

I'm looking at getting the X-Power through a salary sacrifice scheme at work... Popped into my local dealer for a test drive on the weekend... Started to explain I want the car in green and he told me MG have pulled the plug on the green due to its matt finish and they are having issues with spotty cars after they have been cleaned/waxed... Is this true or was he just trying to sell me the in stock black on the day?

If green is no longer available, I think I will go for the grey!

It's still showing on the MG UK website for the XPower, most of the pages on the XPower are shown in that colour so it obviously is the advertising colour for that model.
Camden Grey is a great colour for the MG 4 and was my choice for the Trophy I have. The Holborn Blue has been discontinued in the SE and Trophy, although lives on in the XPower unless they haven't updated their website for the XPower.

I was told it wasn't available in green anymore when I spoke to a dealer.
Then funnily enough it was absolutely fine when the factory order was put in through the company car scheme.

Yes, for existing stock there will be a number available but for ordering new from the factory it's probably been discontinued.
