MG4 Trophy ER
I've had my MG4 Trophy now for over two years. When the windcreen washer appears to be running out I've felt that I'm not putting much into the reservoir before it tops out. Does anyone else think the capacity of the washer reservoir to be a bit pathetic? I've not measured how much I put in but it seems to be running out quite quickly. I've only done 13900 miles which isn't a lot in two years so it's not as if I'm constantly driving and constantly on the washers.

Interesting, I have the exact opposite feeling. In a year I have never run mine empty and only topped up once (just as a precaution before a longer trip)

Though MG4 Tech assist ( based on ChatGPT) says 3.5 ltrs
The MG4 Manual definitely says 2.5l

This topic has come up before - alongside a moan that there's no indication that the washer fluid is getting low; something much more important when the washer bottle is so (relatively) small. (Other cars tend to have larger washer bottles ... 3.5l or more).

We can't ... or rather we already have. The bottle capacity is 2.5l, and there's no low fluid indicator. Simple as. 🤷‍♂️

The only other possible answer is that the OP's bottle has a leak (if they think it's going down far quicker than their washer usage).

I 100% agree with you.
The issue is unresolvable. In effect it is letting out steam, frustration, a rant, without any potential resolution.

I'd love to see this forum being about helping each other and leaving the rest to Facebook

Chatgpt is often wrong in many subjects. It's only as good as the data it has access to across the web, much of which is incorrect. Don't believe the hype from the media about ai, I recently left the predictive analytics industry after many years immersed in it and it was a precursor to what's termed 'ai' today.

Being in the industry, I agree with you. Pls. see my subsequent comment

I can confirm the 2.5 litres, having filled mine from empty. I recall when I was getting my Golf GTi that the 5 litre wash reservoir with the low-level warning was only available as part of the "winter pack" extra spec (which also included heated seats). Obviously I specified that, and got so used to it that I was miffed when the MG4 didn't have it. But it was an extra on the Golf, at extra cost.

You're quite right, really. I was a bit spoiled with the Golf.
I'd say you would have been spoilt if it was free .As you had to pay for it ....... Not spoilt .
If I remember correctly the winter pack also included heated heated windscreen washer jets and possibly front fog lights on variants that didn't have them as standard although my memory my be playing tricks on me .
