MG3 Hybrid+ Trophy
Have just purchased a new MG 3 Hybrid + Trophy Model . Has anyone had issues when connecting your mobile phone with Android Auto?
Have tried a few cables with one connection only lasting for a few seconds then going back to the Home Screen.
Any Help.

an official cable for your phone
Or a known-good quality one, whether official or not. Anker cables seem good to me, and many have reported good results. Beware of imitations, as with all good products. I look for the Anker logo and compare it with known-good photos.

I had the same problem. Cured it with this from Amazon current price £6.99. . Has worked perfectly since purchase last July. Note: Research suggested shortest cable practical.

CONMDEX USB C Cable Short 50cm/0.5M 10Gbps Data USB3.1 Gen2 Type C Android Auto Cable QC3.0 3.1A USB A to C Fast Charger for Samsung Note20 Galaxy S24/S23/S22/S21 Tab S9 Pixel 9 M4 iPad Pro 2024-Grey

Easiest solution I found was to add another USB C cable into the mix. I know that sounds bonkers but I haven't had a single issue since. So I have a USB C Male plugged into the car port then that has a USB C female end that I plug a standard USB C <--> USB C cable in to attach my phone. Fingers crossed that works for you!

TLDR: Best solution I found

Car <--> USB C Male <--> USB C Female <--> USB C Male <--> USB C Male

I bought one of these. It recognises both mine and the wife's android phones, and switches to whoever is in the car , wirelessly.
I used the usb port at the back of the centre console, to charge the phone, as this device plugs into the port that the Android Auto cable plugs into.
