MG5 Exclusive 2022, just over 3 years old 22600 miles, and today the left and right arrow multifunction buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel have stopped working. These are the ones that switch between the default speedometer screen and the cruise control screen, so it's probably well used as I'm constantly having to switch back to the main screen every time I adjust or operate the cruise control.

Anyone else had these buttons fail? I've been into a dealer today to enquire about warranty cover, but they can't tell me if it's covered without me booking it in

It's not massively urgent, just annoying!

I have exactly the same model, from new, slightly lower mileage (about 18.5k miles), same age but I've not experienced this particular problem! As you say, (very) "annoying", since, like you, I regularly switch between the ACC screen and the digital speedo.

I assume the standard "switch the car off, wait 10 seconds or so and then reboot" doesn't cure it? What about the 10mm spanner "trick" (disconnecting the 12V battery negative terminal, leaving it disconnected for some minutes, then reconnecting and seeing if the fault has disappeared)?

I did manage to switch it off and on again at traffic lights, this reset the screen but those 2 buttons still don't work. The others do though. I'll see how it is at home time though 😊
