MG released LKA update on April 1st

Is there a way of telling based on software/firmware version?
I see he points at the Entertainment version at one point, but I don't think that has anything to do with LKA versions?

Hopefully this is being rolled out across all European markets (UK/Ireland included)?

Unfortunately control module versions aren't exposed anywhere except via PID interrogation via OBD2 which the PIDs haven't been decoded yet for the MG4 it seems.

Asked my dealer to check for LKA firmware update, and was told that the latest update was dated back to December 2023..

I had mine installed during the second service yesterday it is part of a safety recall notice so get hold of your dealer. I took my MG4 (aka Sparky) out and acted like a drunken driver drifting to the centre line and the verges of the county lanes in my area. and..... Bingo no more snatching of the steering wheel just a gentle but progressive pull easily over ridden. No surprises at all and I really tormented the system. ONLY took 2 years of moaning but as far as I am concerned this is fixed. Get hold of your dealer and say isn't there a safety recall software update available for the LKA in my car.

I was under the impression that with "safety recalls" the dealer/ manufacturer contacted you to call you in for an inspection / rectification. Has that now changed to being the customers responsibility to know every nuance of the cars faults and updates procedures and availability of such software to their specific model.?

SC077 is not a recall it is a service campaign, which means it should be done at the next regular service. A recall would be done for something that can’t wait, say a brake pedal fault for instance.

I guess they figured the LKA has been an issue for so long, a service campaign is good enough instead of a recall.

I called to book the service and was told there would be a software update as part of it? I asked for what? They said safety update on the LKA. That’s all I know call your dealer.

I had my car serviced yesterday and was told that you have to make a complaint about it before they will update . I dutifully complained and am booked in for early May
