Planning a long trip with my MG5 Trophy the charging point were I will be stopping as 4 type 2 @ 7kW 3.6kW 22kW 43kW, also some CCS2 50kW. If i use the type 2 22kwW or the 43kW would the car be able to pull 22kW or 43kW on a type 2 or do I need to use the CCS2 type for fast charging a place near to this spot as a type 2 22kW untethered cable would my type 2 cable which came with car cope with 22kW and more? No Tesla charging near by. Thanks for any help.

If the cable came with the car it is most likely a single phase 32A cable so will give you 3.6kW on a 3 phase 11kW EVSE but nearer 11kW on a 3 phase 22kW EVSE. I would use the CCS DC for a rapid charge.

If you are staying overnight plug into the 7kw and don't worry about it, the car will be fully charged by the morning.
Just calling in to drop someone off just can’t understand all the different charging rates and different cables how many kW would my car pull on a type2 tethered cable? Thanks.

The most your car can get from a 22kW (or 43kW) charger is 11kW. To do that it needs a 3 phase cable. When MG changed the charging hardware for the FL they didn't bother changing the cable they sell to a 3 phase one.
My dealer advised me not to buy the MG one and get a 3 phase one from Amazon.

Most tethered cables will be DC CCS not type2 AC.
The maximum you can pull on AC is 11kw but 4-6 times quicker on a DC rapid charger at 50kW plus

To be honest, I've only used the 11kw capability twice. Once at the York park and ride and once at a golf course in France. That's since Jan 2023.
Better to look at it then for it, 2 hours charging @11kW vs 7kW makes a difference if there is no Rapid nearby.

If you're not there for long then definitely go for the CCS DC plug - Rapid charging will get you properly full in an hour or so.
Any AC charging will add around 10% / hour (7kW vs 11kW makes a difference but you're still not going to fill your battery in 2 hours).
