@Cally specifically where inside the car were the fobs? I imagine the car did the thing where it lets you open the boot while everything else stays locked, then automatically locks the boot upon closing. But it seems wrong for the car to do that if a) any fob is inside the car and b) the car...

I've never heard any mention of this before on the forum (which doesn't mean it hasn't been addressed before of course). Also sounds like something not many will be willing to duplicate to test. Did the dealership get involved, because I would definitely say that's not supposed to happen.

The first thing to check would be the connections to the 12v battery. A lot of cars come from the factory with those not sufficiently tightened. If possible perhaps checking the health of the 12v battery might be worth it too, a degraded 12v can cause all kinds of gremlins.

I fairly consistently get 19 or 20 kWh / 100km, and I think it is mostly to do with doing 110km/h with hardly any traffic around, so I have to cut my own hole through the air. Did a trip recently on a much busier stretch of road and doing the same speed with traffic around me saw consumption drop.

I ignore the speed recognition system most of the time, but do use it occasionally in the sense of asking the car “what was the last speed limit you think you saw?” and using that as a little tidbit of information. Like asking a passenger. I wouldn’t just blindly follow what it says though.

Can you turn on your intelligent battery heating though? I thought it was your cabin heating that was broken?

When’s the last time you did a <10% to 100% charge? The BMS might have drifted and be unsure of the real battery capacity? Not sure if that would show up as high consumption though, and not sure if it can drift enough to be that drastic.

I think @hojnikb means that the car can connect to a hotspot created by your phone (hence using the phone data not the built in data), and I think @Mouss is talking about the hotspot the car offers, in case you want your phone to use the built in data from the car.

What kind of driving are you doing? Speed, distance, elevation, traffic or lack thereof? Is intelligent battery heating on? It does seem strange the car is using that much
