    ACC

I have a regular trophy bit the ACC whilst better than it was still struggles to deal with corners and overtaking vehicles. It also is a bit heavy in adjusting to attaching a slower vehicle. I tend to use it for short periods and switch back to manual control when it gets annoying. A minor...

MG4 Trophy Long Range 10,000 Mile SoH

Vgate iCar Pro 2S. The same one that siteguru linked above. I also got mine at a good price from Aliexpress although I was nervous as Aliexpress has a reputation for counterfeit goods.

MG4 Trophy Long Range 10,000 Mile SoH

I did exactly the same thing to support the developer. I have a feeling this sounds more noble than it is because it was a minimal sum :ROFLMAO:

MG4 Trophy Long Range 10,000 Mile SoH

@gary333 Thanks for the insights. I'm sorry to hear the MG4 doesn't suit you. I am very happy with mine especially with the current software sorting out the irritations of LKA. I'd like a heat pump on my next EV as winter range is more of a challenge and I have hobbies that require travel in...

MG4 Trophy Long Range 10,000 Mile SoH

Congratulations on maintaining your batteries health. For a moment I pondered a few variables such as whether harsher winter conditions or my long trip to Manchester were to blame before deciding that it's unknowable and could even be variation in quality of cells within the packs. So any...

MG4 Trophy Long Range 10,000 Mile SoH

Hi, As I am approaching a year of ownership of my MG4 Trophy LR and have done over 10,000 miles including more 100% to 20% journeys than I had anticipated I decided to use the on board diagnostics and car scanner to check the battery State of Health. I am overdue a balance charge which may...

    MG4 & 5 Ventilation

My MG4 steamed up until I set it to use external air. I manually set the speed usually to 3 or 4 and week increase it when there are more people in the car. In winter I will direct the airflow over the screen more often. The car remembers the settings so I don't fiddle with it. I just leave the...

Probably won’t get an MG4 again

I have worked as a product manager in a couple of industries and always factored in historic and protected discounting when setting MRPs. In my most recent industry discounting was massive so to maintain margins after discounting MRPs were outrageous but the assumption was that nobody would pay...

IS ABRP accurate for a MG4 Trophy?

I have had it set itself to the default 5% degradation but my Trophy still has 100% SoH. I manually adjust this.

IS ABRP accurate for a MG4 Trophy?

Have you set the vehicle up as the correct model? Is your battery degradation set correctly? Are you using live weather data? Mine is much more accurate than that.

IS ABRP accurate for a MG4 Trophy?

    That's exactly what happened. 👍🏻

IS ABRP accurate for a MG4 Trophy?

I don't know how I ended up "necro-posting" this. Without your reply I would never have noticed my act of resurrection. I just be losing my marbles 😂

    ABRP - on longer trips

To be honest range isn't a problem for me either as I will want a trip to the gents, a cup of tea and a stretch of the legs at least every two hours if not less. Extra range would he nice as I could do some intermediate trips without a charge before coming home in winter like I can in summer but...

IS ABRP accurate for a MG4 Trophy?

As I just posted on another discussion it improves with use, doing a month's subscription or trial will improve the data for you, and make sure the battery degradation reflects your SoH. For me it's very accurate arriving no more than 2% and often bang on.

    ABRP 6.x a real improvement !

It didn't appear to. This would be the best solution. Regarding the cost discussion above. I think the developer deserves some payment for the free service provided to us all so I subscribe 2-3 times a year for a month to get additional features and to support the development. Regarding...

    ABRP - on longer trips

Short answer: I found it comforting Dynamic charge prediction during actual journey, optimization of charging stops during journey, less fiddly than manually changing charging plan on Google maps during journey, comfort of one less thing on my mind when making an unfamiliar journey. My last...

    ABRP - on longer trips

I have never had the problem you describe. If I have a long trip I subscribe to ABRP for a month and have it set up to prefer Tesla chargers for cost and reliability reasons. I would check your starting point for the route but even if it is off it should fix itself once you start navigating. My...

    Bluetooth

This is the only issue left for me with my MG4. Adaptive cruise control could be better but this is the only real pain in the posterior.

    Insurance Renewal Quote

Rural Scotland, car parked outside on property, one mid 50s another mid 40s. I am tempted to be lazy and skip my usual search but I haven't acted on the feeling yet as that sounds stupid as well as lazy.

    Insurance Renewal Quote

What are people getting quoted for MG4 insurance this year? For my Trophy with two drivers, full NCD claims, 12000 miles per annum, Allianz are quoting... Renewal price £241.81 Last year's price £406.54 I thought changing from an Ibiza to the MG4 was a rip off but this year it isn't too bad...
