    Bad month for solar generation

The Sun in the UK is more suited to my genetics but the damage has been done by now😂

    Bad month for solar generation

I guess that sort of thinking has kept us pretty well safe from interlopers😂

    Bad month for solar generation

Understand completely but was reminded of the many British immigrants of the post WW2 era the other day when speaking to a friend who still happily refers to himself as a 10 Pound Pom. Strangely though we have considered a move to the UK in our more fanciful moments during recent trips there🤔

Move to Oz, 44kWh is my daily winter production.

How do you treat your MG4?

Here in Australia you have to be prepared for stone chips. I’m still ‘getting around to’ sourcing some touch up paint (Volcanic Orange/Fizzy Orange). It’ll get worse before it gets any better😂

Best / most efficient regen braking setting?

Here is one of my regular trips, of the 10 kWh used I get 3 kWh regen which pays back some of the 1kWh my A/C used (it’s fairly hot here in Oz atm). I rarely adjust my driving mode from Normal.

MG4 got Special suspension or 50/50 weight stuff?

I think MG have got it just about right, it is possibly the ‘safest’ feeling car I’ve driven due to that combination of soft and firm.

How do you treat your MG4?

The married woman I live with wants to do a lap (drive around Australia) and we’ll do it in the MG staying at pubs mostly but will bring the swag just in case. I think that may ‘cure’ me of any tentative feelings about the car but I am considering what tyres to use and possibly a roof-rack to...

How do you treat your MG4?

I guess the battery is one thing that has influenced my driving but the video has changed my mind.

How do you treat your MG4?

I grew up driving over the hilly terrain of a sheep property in Southern NSW and know something of what a vehicle can do, but I have treated my MG4 with kid gloves for some reason, yet it seems that it is a car that can take a bit of rough stuff. This video from Nepal has been the stimulus for...

MG4 got Special suspension or 50/50 weight stuff?

Just for comparison this article looks at the current Australian market and vehicle weights https://www.drive.com.au/caradvice/weight-class-the-lightest-and-heaviest-cars-for-sale-in-australia/

MG4 got Special suspension or 50/50 weight stuff?

i weighed my MG4 Excite 64 (Australia) at a local bulk supplier and was surprise it came in at just a bit over 1700kgs. It’s about 100kg lighter than my Toyota Hilux ute and a similar engine power. The balance between front and back makes it sit very well on the road and on some of our bumpier...

Anyone have this happen recently using CarPlay? Happens occasionally on mine.

Would you buy your ‘leased’ MG4?

Buying a leased vehicle is a good decision in any circumstances, my $42k leased 4WD was worth $10k to buy after 5 years…who wouldn’t do that?

    New MG4 Owner 😊

Welcome from Australia, you’ve bought well and after my 15 mths driving the car it’s great. LKA is a point of complaint that I believe is unjustified. With all the electronics and software in cars these days it is too easy to become complacent about your driving, LKA exists (for me) to keep my...

    MG4 in Australia

Happy New Year to all, we didn’t watch the fireworks and went to bed at 11pm. But we did get to sit on our back verandah and watch a couple of pairs of Wedgetailed Eagles cruising around on the easterly that took the edge off the day's heat. Fortunate that these magnificent birds call our river...

    MG4 in Australia

Merry Xmas everyone, I hope you all have a good day wherever you may be. Bright sunshine here with no wind to speak of, but thinking of those in the fire areas. Been there, done that on Christmas Day.
