It work well in the HsPHEv which I had over three years i seem not be able to do update on it any more. Today I got a cable to make sure CarPlay was working which I tried on the way home and it worked well.

One thing to try is on pushing the plug hold the plug until you here the hand shake you may find taking the weight of the cable the hand shake will happen as the two top pin are the are for communication between the car and the charger. It this will not work can you return it. Was it off eBay.

I think this depends on the garage you go too, the brake, engine coolant need to be replaced at 4years but you have coolant for the battery and motor and how will that degrade, saver to have the full service.
