I assume you didn't check it before you took it to the garage, I still think it is the most likely. I had it happen to me were the car didn't update when I changed the app setting. I leave mine on 100% now and let the charger control everything.

I would check the car setting before asking the garage, you might have saved yourself some time.

I would just check that the setting in the car is the same as what the app says, they have been known to be different.

Have you checked what the charge limit is set to, it is probably been set to 40% by mistake?
