Depends on the dealer. I gave mine the technical bulletin number just to make it easier. It took a week to get the parts in, they emailed when they arrived offering a slot 4 days later to fit while I waited, I was in there for 30 minutes.

My MG dealer has been good so far, they applied the LKA fix and fitted the undertray repair kit with no issues, they even rang me back when the parts came in. Kia were always very good, but recently there has been the issue with getting parts in which all makers seem to be suffering with.

To be honest if it was just the DRLs that came on when I sat down then that's not an issue for me, it's the headlights coming on as soon as I get in the car that annoys me.

That's a weird one with the bolsters, they are very soft, never come up as an issue, but the sill is quite wide. I never have the temperature above 23 degrees, so that doesn't sound good. What's wromg with the driving position, I haven't noticed any problems?

Exactly, that's what my point was, you shouldn't have to turn them off because they shouldn't have come on in the first place. The heating, entertainment all work before you press the brake pedal.

Not really, I wouldn't say the Kia engine was weak, 174bhp is pretty decent in an SUV of that size, and the DCT box was fine. I test drove quite a few cars of the same era as the MG before buying it and wouldn't say they were miles better than the MG.

Don't agree, I came from a 2018 Kia Sportage petrol auto, and while that car was better in some areas, I prefer the MG, as does my partner who has a 2020 VW Tiguan.

Looks like when they selected the new supplier they were trying to match up the customer service level so you wouldn't notice the difference. :)

It is from April 2026, but also affect cars bought after April 2025. So if you bought a car between those two dates you wouldn't pay the tax. Doesn't affect me as I'm only buying cars that I can pay for outright after trade in.
