    I hate my MG4

My car was £18k, got £14.5k trade in for my old car, so it only cost me £3,500. I've already saved about £600 in fuel and probably about £100 in servicing, so not too bad so far. My partner went to London recently, charged once on the way down and once on the way back, each charge was about 25...

    I hate my MG4

Not really, just wondered, it all works pretty well on mine.

    I hate my MG4

Sounds like you got a bad car, it can happen with any car and I wouldn't it put me off getting another EV. You wouldn't say you weren't going to get another petrol car just because you had a bad experience with one car. For me the benefits outweigh any negatives, saving a fortune on fuel, very...

    I hate my MG4

I've had my car for 9 months and it's probably one of the best cars I've owned. What's the problem on motorways, I find it quite relaxing and nice and quick for overtakes. Not sure how you manage to turn the lights off while indicating, but I have to admit I have done it while putting the main...

    Which colour shows the dirt?

Yes, not on my car, that is the main thing.

    Which colour shows the dirt?

Maybe the rear wing keeps it clean.

    Which colour shows the dirt?

Where does the dirt seem to collect? I've been impressed with the back of the car, it seems to stay pretty clean, the Kia I had before I was always cleaning the rear camera, on the MG I haven't needed to do so.

    Cold weather motorway mi/kWh?

You're right on how good all season tyres are now, in one of the Tyre review videos it said that if the Michelin Cross Climates had been tested in the winter tyre test they would have finished mid table.

£150 to find if covered under guarantee

When you look at the warranty document it looks reasonable, but I've read the issues people have had on here. The one that does surprise me is the infotainment covered for 3 years, that seems to be one of the most reliable items in all makes of cars, and it's not just MG, Kia only covers this...

    Which colour shows the dirt?

I'm really surprised by that. I've found the blue to be amazing at hiding the dirt, even in foul weather. Yes like any colour it looks better when washed, but I have to look really hard sometimes to decide whether it needs it. Some cars I've had in the past have looked bad when they are dirty.

£150 to find if covered under guarantee

You've just proved my point, depends on the fault. I had a few things done no questions asked. The gearbox issue was obviously a more complicated issue, they could have come back and said one of the clutches was worn and it wouldn't have been covered. I could then have taken the car somewhere...

£150 to find if covered under guarantee

Completely wrong, depends on the issue, a garage isn't going to spend hours diagnosing an issue and then not charge me if I decide not to have the work done.

£150 to find if covered under guarantee

Standard with most car manufacturers, when I had a gearbox fault on my Kia they said there would be a diagnostics fee if it wasn't a warranty issue.

    Range concerns on S5

Sounds about the same as what I'm seeing in the MG4 in the last week, it seems to have gone down with the temperature. Journeys have mostly been motorway, which is always worse.

Power interrupted when brake pedal pressed after initial startup

You're not missing much, I don't really see the point of turning the seats on remotely.

    Did someone mention winter?

Are those all season tyres, look like it from the tyre tracks?

    Tomato Energy

Exactly, and that's if the data is in good order. we are dealing with Tomato energy here.

    Tomato Energy

If things were really that simple I don't think I would have had a job in IT for 36 years. I would imagine the data in the Tomato system is a complete mess as they couldn't even bill customers correctly.

    Slow charge port cover.

It's obvious really, when you charge the car there is always something plugged in the slow charge socket, but when you slow charge the fast charge pins would be exposed if there was no cover.
