Cyberster - what we know so far

No news on that yet. I suspect it may still be June before we get ours. There are some changes we need to make to our showroom first, to accommodate the "Cyberster Area"

Cyberster - what we know so far

At the MG UK Dealer Conference last week, they said configuration and orders will open in March, for delivery from June.

    Latest MG Cyberster spy shots

I've just been reliably informed that the incorrect plate backing was used, and the emissions comes up as zero because it's not yet been homologated. :(

    Latest MG Cyberster spy shots

I thought MG had said lots of times that the MG3 would only be available as a hybrid... but green stripe on the plate, and tax check comes back as zero emissions MG.

    unbind car

I have a contact at MG Engineering in the UK, who very kindly unbinds the vehicles for me. I'm not sure he'd be happy with me sending out his contact details to overseas agencies. I'm happy for customers to contact me with the required information though, and then I'll ask him to unbind cars as...

Would you consider the Ora Funky Cat instead of an MG4?

Yes, but again that's based on the lower specification Cat. I think with the higher specification on the new version, it would be a closer fight.

Would you consider the Ora Funky Cat instead of an MG4?

I think the MG4 looks more modern, more aggressive and angular. The Funky Cat (which could end up being renamed as the Ora 03, if that helps overcome issues for anyone!) looks more rounded and cutesy. I personally think the Ora FC has more character in its design. The "Hello Ora" voice command...

Would you consider the Ora Funky Cat instead of an MG4?

Perhaps, to clarify, I don't expect that anyone would be beating a path to our Ora showroom to trade in their sub-1yr old MG4 against a Funky Cat. What I was wondering was whether any of the features which Ora has included in the Funky Cat would either have made you consider it in the first...

Would you consider the Ora Funky Cat instead of an MG4?

    Size wise, it's almost identical in size to the MG4, hence my comparison. L x W x H MG4 = 4,287 x 1,836 x 1,504mm ZS EV SE = 4,323 x 1,809 x 1,625mm Ora FC = 4,235 x 1,825 x 1,603mm MG4 is around 5cm longer, and 1cm wider than the Ora, but 10cm lower overall. The increased height of the Ora...

Would you consider the Ora Funky Cat instead of an MG4?

The boot is smaller, yes. The software has had a couple of updates since launch - they do seem quite proactive in getting fixes out as soon as an issue is identified. Customer service - well, I guess that depends on the dealer. At Chorley Group, we're trying to look after everyone in the same...

Would you consider the Ora Funky Cat instead of an MG4?

Sorry, picture didn't upload as it was too high resolution. Now rescaled and added. I actually like the front of it.

Would you consider the Ora Funky Cat instead of an MG4?

I wonder if the launch of the new First Edition+ version of the Ora Funky Cat would make prospective MG4 owners look again? The First Edition+ has: 63kWh battery with 260 miles WLTP range Panoramic opening sunroof Auto-park assist Heated & Vented & Massage memory seats Front and Rear parking...

Cyberster - what we know so far

I think in order for a yoke steering wheel to be practical, you need steer-by-wire with variable ratios.
