It'd be interesting to find out why they fail. Is it poor components, bad design or a software issue. I seem to remember mine failed soon after I heated the cabin via the app while it was still attached to my charger for the first time.

It's difficult to know if it's the charger or the car that's causing the problem. Can you try on someone else's charger?

Update 5: After another ten days at the dealers undergoing further tests MG have finally admitted it's the CCU that's at fault by refusing to accept AC charging. I do wonder whether previously the dealer had actually try the CCU from another car and if they did, did they check that one was...
