Just put MGS5 EV accessories into AliExpress and all sorts of items will show up. The link I included is just an example of the item, you might find it cheaper from another seller
I replaced the battery on my MG4 after 2.5 years just as a precaution and will probably do the same with the MGS5 but luckily never had the battery go flat.
I keep my battery booster under the centre armrest as I don't want it suddenly shooting forward if I do an emergency stop.
The figures are based on the number of cars on the road not the mileage travelled. Hybrids are or were mainly company cars so probably they do a higher mileage.
The rates have also been published in The Times. Which says:
"Overall, the data shows that there was one death for every 8,000 hybrid...
OPD must be the best thing since electrons were discovered for the amount of drivers who rave about it despite running the chance that the car rolls backwards or it's not available on a full charge.
Isn't the solution to the rolling back problem is to apply the handbrake when the car has...
@Geoff22 welcome to the forum.
I suggest you practice at a couple of fast chargers before you need to.You only need to put a kW in so it won't cost a lot. Also get an Electroverse card. They are free, you don't get a pre-authorisation charge and you don't need to be an Octopus customer to have one.
It's strange how some drivers seem to always get a faulty car and others in comparison seem to have very few and it doesn't matter if they are acquired new or used.
I wonder what the common denominator is?🤔
As I've mentioned before if the charger doesn't charge take the weight off the cable so the top two pins of the plug make good contact with the car's charging port. They carry the data needed for the car and charger to do their electronic handshake. Once this has happened you can let go, it only...
My friend started to look at getting his first EV about the same time I did. He even got a Zappi fitted 2 weeks after me by the same electricians. Despite having the money he still drives an ageing Ford Mondeo estate as he's afraid of missing out on getting the next advancement in EV technology.
Mercs also suffer with front suspension problems just as they come out of warranty and they also suffered with a coolant problem. I looked at getting a used EQA 250+ but I'm glad I didn't.
There's a class action being taken against Jaguar at the moment due to the poor design and materials of...
They are not needed because modern LED lights have a flat beam so you don't get the scattered light, as you do from traditional headlights, bouncing back off the fog causing glare. Fog lights were fitted low down so the light undercut the fog and reduced the amount reflected back into the...
Leave the AC/heating on. You've already taken the hit in mileage by demisting the screen up so just leave it ticking over instead of keep switching it off and on again when it has to start from scratch.
If you read my later post #10 it explains that my current insurer (Aviva) did insure the car it's just that they classified it as a hatchback not an SUV so when doing the search manually as opposed to using the reg number it didn't show up.
It'll help speed up charging on a fast charger if it's cold and if you are short of time. Most of the time it's not worth it as it uses the equivalent of about 35 miles of range to pre-heat the battery.
I've switched that off. Trying to get the correct foot swipe and nearly over balancing combined with accidentally closing it when reaching for something towards the back of the boot was more trouble than it was worth.
