Sandicliffe MG, Nottingham - Car not fit for use and being taken to court

Alb has had a discussion with the OP and reopened the thread, so this story must have some basis. What puzzles me is why a court listing could not be found and why, given their enthusiastic postings, the OP has not reported back here with the outcome?

Wear on Front Tyres at 5500 miles

That's mighty impressive! Can you teach Mrs S your driving style? ;) The MG4 is an all-in lease, but the previous car used to have regular visits to the tyre depot... He always used to chuckle and call her a rally driver....

    This is hilarious

If my understanding of the timeline is correct, EVs first appeared in some form or other in the 1820s and 30s. In 1881, Gustave Trouvé built the first electric car (although it was more a bike with a third wheel driven by a motor). Thomas Parker built a 4 wheeled EV in England in 1884. The...

    Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

The cat or you? Joking aside, one of my kittens loves Wimbledon. Sits there watching the ball go back and forth... We have only recently got them, and they have to stay in till they are snipped and chipped, hence the litter tray.

Octopus Free hour tomorrow (Sunday 2pm)

I did. Accidentally. I can tell you it flippin' hurt. A lot. I said some very naughty words that would have made my Granny blush.

Service price for second service at only 14,000 miles

When we all owned ICE cars that got to stellar mileages, didn't we treat them to more frequent engine and gearbox oil changes to try and reduce wear on them?

Service price for second service at only 14,000 miles

Our previous car before the MG4 was a 2009 Honda FRV Diesel which we had from new. We did 175,000 miles in it and it never had a brake fluid change.

Service price for second service at only 14,000 miles

I prefer to spend decent money on the stuff that is the only contact between me and the road. I'd rather do that and buy Value label food and not buy takeaways for the next year if I had to. I swear by Michelin Cross Climate 2, although, I have just had notification from Michelin that they have...

Service price for second service at only 14,000 miles

It pees me right off. I went to an exhaust place with my sister in the 80s, it was her car. The guy came out and started addressing me about the issues. I said, "Please talk to my Sister...it's her car." But what really annoyed me was they knew it was her car. But regarding having blazing...

    First long road trip

I've just seen a video where a guy in the US confirms a Tesla Model X only has one charging port. Someone had posted a video to make it look like theirs had two (possibly by doing the back to front jiggery pokery stuff of which you speak).

Don't charge from a 3 pin plug when it's 27 degrees outside kids

The battery back-up is there not so much to protect against tampering with the mains supply but to run the system for several hours if there is a temporary power cut.

I thought some Tesla models had one on either side at the rear?

Don't charge from a 3 pin plug when it's 27 degrees outside kids

That's because people don't maintain their alarm systems. When the mains power fails, the back-up battery in the panel kicks in to take over powering the system, but if that's kaput, then the battery in the bell box on the wall outside goes off, annoying the neighbours for 20 minutes.

    Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

My usual approach to something that has a CPU and an operational issue that I can't fix is a very strong desire to destroy it! None more so that a printer! I know that's bad, but I feel very strongly that humans should retain the upper hand where inanimate objects are concerned. Luckily, that...

Yes, it boils my puss how they decide to do things like this at such short notice but usaually, spelling mistaks are a bit of a red alert to scamers.

    Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

Possibly, but I think on at least one occasion, the seat belt wasn't unclipped, so that didn't come into the equation. The vagaries of a modern car!

    Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

Our MG4 occasionally has a hissy fit (not to do with updating, though) and refuses to move. A couple of bum lifts and door lockings usually sorts it out. Never worked out why it went weird, though.
