I have an Android 9 phone with Auto as an app. Also a cheapish cable. Can be a bit glitchy when connecting but once working is absolutely fine. Cannot find a dongle which supports my phone so will stick with the cable until the weakest link dies. :eek:

As always it pays to read the smallprint. And again the people who lease will not be concerned by extended periods of warranty, but for buying owners and more likely secondhand purchasers it could be of importance as to their decision making. Would/ could it be retrospective to 2022 buyers...

A few months ago there was talk of 10 year, even lifetime warranties as being in the pipeline, all seems to have gone quiet on that front. Does anyone from any region have any updated info as to their arrival or even demise?

I took mine" in " for this, it was the start of the cold weather and I wasn't sure if they had slightly de-gassed or not and needed replacing. On the 20 mile journey to the dealers they warmed up and on inspection worked a lot better leaving yours truly looking like a Twonk! Its a bit warmer now...

When its damp a thin layer of rust can develop on the discs and pads, putting it into D or R and you can hear/feel a clunk as they break sticktion. on application of the brake the rust turns to dust and this can until cleared ( pretty quickly ) can give the appearance of the brakes binding and...

There is a video on YT of the same battery as yours being stripped down. The top cover when removed revealed that the sealant to waterproof it was in the form of a large "O " ring which had failed and was letting water past into one section of the battery which then failed its insulation test...
