I considered that , but I can only comment on what I have . Again at 6ft 3 in there is not much adjustment room for long legs and the right foot and knee joint tend to be fixed in one position so getting used to different shoe ware which alters slightly the position and feel needs a bit time...

When you did your basic manoeuvrings into the driveway was the steering stiff ? I'm sure you have checked all the fuses , perhaps the earth path for the electric steering box was dislodged in its accident and/or the electrical connections points. Also assuming you have had the 12v battery...
