2 years ago when seriously comparing the MG4 to other cars , the nearest comparisons I found were Golf tdi 2.0l. or some higher spec Hyundai's or Ford focus's. Comparing those prices/performance/equipment plus some secondhand prices, then insurances, servicing , running costs etc. No brainer.
