Ahh, yes. I've worked out how to fit them with the wheels still on... get a right angle screwdriver ;)
I managed to get one of the front ones on with just a really short screwdriver but even that was dodgy, but the rear mudguards not possible.
Searched for "right angle screwdriver" and sure...
Sort of... Typically these wireless devices are Bluetooth. Bluetooth itself has minimal security. The Vgate vLinker MC+ I have implements a reasonable security control by only allowing pairing after the physical "pairing" button on the device has been pressed.
Thus after I pair my phone it is...
I have the Vgate vLinker MC+ BLE4.0 unit.
I haven't been able to justify the cost for ABRP to integrate with Android Auto so don't use my vLinker for real time telemetry.
It's to assist with fault diagnosis. It was originally mandated in the US for emission control purposes.
Here's a good simple explanation of it for anyone interested.

Sounds like a very sensible suggestion. What...
That's what I need to determine by putting our Braumach spare on the SE 51 and then putting the 17" wheel onto the ER 77. I was hoping someone might have done this already to save me the trouble ;)
I don't believe it's the diameter of the tyre as such that determines its efficiency: -
Question...
So....
We have both an Essence 77 (aka Trophy ER) and an Elite 51 (SE SR).
I use the 77 around town but its primary purpose is long distance trips around country Australia.
The 51 is used daily by my wife and only around town.
Given I'm more interested in range than "performance" with the 77 I...
I checked with the guy who has a Born. Definitely have been no OTA updates in Australia (though they are performed in EU) and no connectivity either.
The MG4 in Australia uses a Vodafone SIM for connectivity and the iSmart app works for me just fine.
No OTA updates for them anywhere in the world...
Be aware the Born "connectivity" in Australia still hasn't been enabled. You can't connect to it with the App like you can in Europe. (One of our members in my other EV discussion group has one)
I'm pretty sure that also means OTA updates are in the same state as the MG4's.
I'll check to make...
I hired a Born for 3 days and drove it around the Gold Coast and into the hinterland hills.
It was very nice and confirmed for me that EVs were great ;)
I also regularly hire a Polestar 2 in Adelaide if I've flown there.
The Born has more rear seat space than the Polestar 2 but not as much as...
Great deal. Absolutely go for it. I love ours. Indeed we liked it so much we then bought a 51 for around town.
We got ours in October during the big $10K off sale on '23 builds.
We actually only paid $39,875 drive away (new built July '23) but that's because they thought they were selling us an...
Why in heavens sake is your wife worried about fire risk?
Do you have an electric oven? Gas hot plates? Gas heating? A reverse cycle air conditioner?
An electric shaver?
Wondering...
Hold on... Does "high sensitivity" mean it gets involved less often than "low sensitivity"?
I thought it was the opposite!
I've got ours set to "low"...

No great loss IMHO. You're better off using Android Auto or Apple Carplay.
It will only work via the USB A port. The USB C port doesn't support AA or CP.
Irrespective of that you need a good quality cable that supports both power and data.
A wireless USB A dongle works well for many of us...
Maybe... Yes, but will it really be better overall?
Sure when we got our MG4s I was all gung ho on getting the latest updates but now I really don't see there's any actual issues that warrant an update that may well introduce other (minor) issues that annoy me more.
Not unless you can convince...
