I checked with the guy who has a Born. Definitely have been no OTA updates in Australia (though they are performed in EU) and no connectivity either. The MG4 in Australia uses a Vodafone SIM for connectivity and the iSmart app works for me just fine. No OTA updates for them anywhere in the world...

Be aware the Born "connectivity" in Australia still hasn't been enabled. You can't connect to it with the App like you can in Europe. (One of our members in my other EV discussion group has one) I'm pretty sure that also means OTA updates are in the same state as the MG4's. I'll check to make...
