Digital Key Sharing on i-Smart app

Sorry for such an obvious question but is the second phone paired with the car ?

Solar Power - Why people ignore your advice

As you said the cost of the solar panels themselves is small so in effect the number of them almost becomes irrelevant to the cost of installation from scratch. I have had quotes where the difference between 4 panels and 12 was negligible from the same company. Your 5kWh DIY battery may only be...

MG Pilot Speed Limiter defaults to 'off' at every car 'Start'/'Ready' power on

Do you have adaptive (active) cruise or just the steady speed variety ? If adaptive that must drive you bonkers when it matches the speed of the vehicle in front. I don't intend to be rude but can you keep to a steady accurate speed yourself ? Does a drop or increase of 1 or 2 mph make any...

Solar Power - Why people ignore your advice

Totally agree. Plus all the paperwork and everything is done for you.

The Ultimate MG5 "Real World" Energy Consumption Thread

In the 5 the display is limited to 20miles/kWh max, but my Kona goes up to 999. I live at the top a hill and the first mile of my journey I always achieved the 20 and now the 999. 😂

Anyone using car battery to power house ?

I respect your knowledge and others on here and you clearly speak as a qualified person, however I speak as an unqualified lay person, and possibly as devil's advocate. Firstly I would not read the installation manual for a combi boiler as I would get someone else to install it, as per...

I do, thanks. We stopped northbound on our way up and sampled the fare but didn't need to charge as we were still at 74%. We wanted to check out the amenities at the southbound so didn't want to mess about with crossing the M'Way and we weren't in a hurry. We had wanted to visit for sometime...

How do actually remove the 12V Battery.

Here is the manual for the non-long range Pre-facelift that I downloaded some while ago. You can tell from page 257 as it's the 52kWh pack. It still doesn't have instructions for removing the 12v. Hopefully this link will work...

    Joke thread

Boys never grow out of toilet humour, they merely restrain themselves mostly, but it comes out eventually. Boys also never grow out of toys, it's just the price of the toys that changes. In fact boys never actually grow up, they just get older and most adopt responsibilities, but the boy is...

Anyone using car battery to power house ?

It's a question I had thought about several years ago running the boiler with the aid of a battery power station, one of the EcoFlow type etc. It may have the same problem with a V2L supply, maybe ?? Researching discovered that often the boiler simply wouldn't work. The answer was because of the...

Everything Electric South (Farnborough) 2025 discount code

I bought a (one) share in Fully Charged when they were raising money and was sent an update in August which included a link to get in free to attend the Investor meeting. I don't plan on going but your email reminded me so I clicked on the link to RSVP for a code or something and it goes nowhere.

It sounds like you had a great time. We were on the Archimedes boat 10:40 trip. The captain, a young lady, was very entertaining with her briefing and after trip talk. We were following the satnav to the car park and encountered the road closed too. We drove past and good old google re-routed us...

Used MG5 2022 (facelift) LR Luxury - is it a good offer?

Look carefully at the MG Warranty. After 3 years old it covers very little anyway (unlike the Hyundai and Kia 5 and 7 year warranties). This is the UK warranty conditions, see page 3 for exceptions/limited time cover. Check the Polish warranty. Personally I would say that more than 3 years old...

Friday started with a trip to the Falkirk Wheel and a little boat trip. Really enjoyed that and it complemented my trip on the Anderton boat lift a few years ago ( Anderton Boat Lift & Visitor Centre ) Both are great pieces of engineering. After that had a pleasant pootle back home to Leeds...

The weather was much kinder next day for our visit to Stirling Castle, in fact positively warm. Got there early and manged to park outside the doors, we really didn't fancy the walk up the hill ! Lots of history and enjoyed the free guided tour and took a few piccies, just a couple here. Last is...

Back from the little trip and reading the thread above it appears to have gone completely bonkers in my absence. 🤔 Anyways back to the Kelpies I won't bore with any more as there are plenty already but this one I took from directly underneath looks more like a friendly dragon.

    Printing a thread

That is an alternative means of reaching the print option but still only prints the current page you are on, but the option to print to PDF is still there. That still only prints a page at a time unfortunately.

    Charging across Europe

Yes ferries still go Newcastle to Amsterdam or Hull to Zeebrugge or Rotterdam and then you can go on from there. Much easier than driving all that way south just to drive all the way north again. :)

An absolute pleasure meeting @Archev and good conversation. Fortunately by the time we arrived the worst of the weather was over and wandering around was okay and it was almost cracking the flags by the time we left ;). Incredible pieces of art, will post piccies later. Off to Stirling tomorrow...
