Good question. The regen is only on the back wheels as the car uses the traction motor for that purpose. Retardation 1 and ABS would give you more braking control but in the situation you describe I doubt it would make a lot of difference to the outcome for most drivers.

If you look at the power metre in the driver's display when it gets to -7ish the brake lights should come on. That's what happens on the MG4 so I expect the same on the MGS5 although I haven't personally checked.

I'm going to ask the dealer to fit them at the first service unless it needs to go in before hand. My MG4 didn't have locking wheel nuts and I haven't seen any reports of their wheels being nicked so I'm not unduly worried.
