This MG4 is an uncomfortable place to be

Just keep A/C on all the time - put the seat and steering wheel heating on to keep you warm until the car interior warms up, or use the Remote function on the app. I VERY occasionally need to switch on the front and rear screen demisting, which very quickly clears a fogged-up window.

...Just ordered an MG4 Trophy ER (my first EV) any advice most welcome...

We're with Octopus and their Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, 7p/kWh night-time at the moment, and 26.02/kWh day (standing charge is quite high at 62.22 per day). We have the Ohme ePod charger, which is fantastic - whichever one you get, only schedule your charges via the app, don't use the car to...

Retention / Saving of Driving and Safety options ?

No, I've not adopted the '2-minute' settings modification... sometimes, I wonder if I'm driving the same MG4 as everyone else - for example, the LKA has never kicked in for me apart from a slight occasional twitch, which is completely predictable. I've left every setting at its delivery default...

Crash due to Lane keep assist.

I said, 'I know other people have problems with it'. so recognising that LKA is not liked by everyone. The assumption bit was guided by your profile that clearly states 'Not driving an MG'. Sorry, I don't have your personal history, just what you choose to make your profile - I don't wish to...

    The MacMaster strikes again 🙄

Is there no end to this man’s stupidity? I apologise for bringing this up, I don’t normally watch him, but something about this video caught my attention … and i wasted 15 minutes of my life watching this garbage 😡

Crash due to Lane keep assist.

The LKA does work, and it works as per the NCAP spec. I've had my MG4 for a year, and the LKA has been present all along, it twitches occasionally, but it's hardly 'dangerous'; I've never been caught out by it, the conditions it kicks in are entirely predictable. I know other people have...

    Petition MG about Driver Settings

I've been a subscriber to Which? for many years - as an audio professional for 60 years, I find their reviews of audio equipment woefully poor. And I assume that their motoring reviews are equally lacking... after all, this is an organisation for consumers, who have axes to grind, so you'll find...

Ahhh… no, I tried the obvious and typed a silly phrase, which had no effect 🙄 I’ll try the space!

So, Long Range you say ?

I hardly ever reset, I reckon the display is going to be more accurate. If I’m on a long journey with my other half (a maths teacher) she keeps an eye on the dwindling charge, and relating it to how the.range estimate is changing - she ‘encourages’ me to lift my right foot a bit ?

Also in the app, and it’s searchable (one thing the app has got right ?) I’ve tried and tried to switch off the blinkin’ welcome voice (2019?!) but it won’t go away…

    No to One Pedal driving

Just press the accelerator to get up to the speed you want to overtake, the ACC will remain engaged. Braking will dis-engage the ACC.

    New MG4 owner... any tips?!

I thought I had explained why... part of the reason, initially, was for security. I didn't realise until after installation, that you could effectively lock the charger. But the first time I stayed at a hotel for the weekend, I found that they had untethered chargers (but free to use), and my...

    Ohme Charging

You don't have to set the schedule every time, if you're OK with adding the same amount each time (though it's the work of a few seconds to change the schedule). Apologies, I didn't mean that you, personally, would take advantage of anything - I guess 'one' would have to be a very serious...

    Ohme Charging

Tsedge Using the Octopus app seems pretty obvious to me, helped in no small measure by andyvee and his fellow admins and the Files and Features on their FB page. I don’t think anyone is trying to force you into anything, just asking you to use common sense, and not try to take advantage of the...

    New MG4 owner... any tips?!

I’d certainly recommend a wall charger, and going to a cheap overnight tariff. This way, you’ll be charging your car to 100% (for a long trip) in one go, and will cost you just £3 or £4. If you go the home charger route, I’d also recommend an untethered unit - this will mean you’ll have to also...
