Is it possible to totally run an EV on just a Granny charger? ?

And they would be helping me out of a potential hole, so I'm OK with that. But when all is said and done, maybe I should spend some time during the inevitable disco (snore...) checking out charging points on the way back home Despite all this charging angst, I could never go back to an old...

Is it possible to totally run an EV on just a Granny charger? ?

Thanks for the replies... I think £15 is not unreasonable, if I'm using the hotel's power, don't see why they should have to pay? I forgot to mention that I had purchased an 8-metre 'granny' charger, so may well be able to get away without my extension lead - but the question really was, if I...

Is it possible to totally run an EV on just a Granny charger? ?

I'm off to a wedding this weekend in Worcester - I'll be traveling from Maidenhead, so about 135 miles via the M4. I have about 205 miles in the tank, so I'll need to top up somewhere to do the round trip. I called the hotel to see if they have EV chargers - they haven't, but: 'if you have an...

    Low pressure tyre warning

So… what is the point of this warning, if the displayed values are wrong?! This was yesterday, today there was no warning - and I haven’t put a few Bars into the tyre overnight. ?

    Christmas travel - help!

Have you considered a Premier Inn or Travelodge along your route? Many of them (not all) have chargers. Though they may not accept cats! Also worth looking at chargers off your direct route.

New version of iSmart on Apple is in km

Doh… of course. <slap forehead> It’s easy to convert kms to miles (1.6-ish km to a mile)… and the car will still show range in miles.

New version of iSmart on Apple is in km

And now, every time I start the car, I get a message in the app asking me to 'please confirm that you know it'... not sure why, as if I don't answer, nothing happens :cautious: The KMs thing doesn't bother me, as the car displays the range correctly as Miles

New version of iSmart on Apple is in km

Nope... doesn't work here! I've tried updating the app, re-installing, and changing my password... all to no avail, still locked into KMs - but the car is still showing Range in good old Miles, so it's not a real problem (and I can convert KMs to Miles with not too much trouble...)

One Pedal Driving, how to use?

Interesting replies, thank you. I’ve tried OPD a couple of times, but think I’ll stick with One and a Half pedals for the time being!!

One Pedal Driving, how to use?

After a couple of weeks with my MG4, I love the Regen braking - the High setting really slows the car when I take my foot off the accelerator do the brake lights come on?), and I use the brake pedal gently for the last couple of feet, then a hard press on the brake to activate AutoHold. How...

No… think I might have noticed that (being an audio engineer of 50 years ?)

Yes, I bought an 8-metre granny cable. I have an Untethered Ohme charger on order from Octopus, and already have a Type 2 cable to use with it.

Yes, I am using DAB. Going back to FM seems a retrograde step, but I’ll give it a go!

'I bought an 8-metre on Amazon'...:) 'You ca’t get any bigger than that' Yes, got that, but still too small for me - or rather not close enough to the detail? ' Yes, I thought so to start with, but the view is not wide enough, and anyway, as I say, a bit random and too delayed for useful info...

Great that you got a 4 metre cable... not what I got! I have taken off the 3rd headrest. Change the tyres? I've just got 4 brand-new ones! Yes, I'd figured out the compensation of the temp reading...

1 week old and 300 miles - some initial thoughts: GREAT 1 The lovely ‘Whoosh’ as the car accelerates! And instant torque, wow... 2 The looks: The front 100/100 The sides 95/100 The rear: 90/100 but love the red streaky lights on the rear spoiler! (just s a shame that you can't actually see them...

    MG4 Owners - Reflections.

300 miles in my Camden Grey, and no issues at all. LKA set on default, never look at it, the wheel occasionally twitches, but never has it tried to kill me. Maybe my software is the latest upgrade? I haven't a clue - but the car is a dream to drive. It feels faster from a standing start than my...
