Unlike DC circuits, you don’t get big arcs on AC circuits. If you did, the US would be in big trouble because their 15A (1.7kW) home outlets don’t have switches. On AC the current falls to zero every half cycle of the mains frequency hence any arc is usually extinguished.
Home EV charging uses...
You have the wrong resistor in your V2L cable. The resistor appears to set the output voltage, frequency, and max load. For Aust/NZ cable see my post here:

The output voltage with this configuration is limited to 217V so I expect the...
With GPS jamming being common place these days (i.e. security and long distance truck drivers) more of the @Rolfe advice will be needed.
There was a recent YouTube video about the problems GNSS jamming is causing to airlines.
Another trip home from Hamilton to Waikanae and we needed a top up in Taupō, named after the 616km2 caldera lake namesake.
There has been a modest Tesla presence there for a while but a nice new nine bay 250kW capable Supercharger beckoned from the Kokomea Village near Rainbow Point. It’s in...
I want to re-iterate how well the MG4 fits into the Tesla infrastructure and how seamless Tesla had made even casual (non subscription) charging. Here’s the mechanics from my Tesla charging in NZ thread:
There is no fob. You just set the app up with your credit card. At the charger there is...
Opening up the Tesla Supercharger network to other makes? Best thing since sliced bread.
Charging lead and park layout to suit flap on left rear? Perfect for the MG4.
150 and 250 kW charge rate? Perfect for the MG4 140 kW charge rate.
Cost UK 50p / NZ 99c to charge? Yes, 20 to 40 % more than...
And one more first time charge at Johnsonville Wellington:
Despite the welcome mat:
Just needed a quick top up to get home. Six 150 kW stalls of Elon’s best electrons. Apart from the price, what’s not to like?
