Makes me wonder if there are multiple revisions of the EVCC unit for the PFL, and it depends on which one you have as to if you can have a compatible software update.
I’d have expected a multi network IOT type contract but then again that still doesn’t necessarily mean all 4 networks are available as it will depend on what service plan they have.
These usually work by having a foreign carrier sim profile and then using that carriers roaming agreements.
But they probably won't be able to do any software updates as they don't usually have access to the MG server(s) to download them from, also if you have the car serviced at an MG dealer you should get the MG assist renewed (AA here in the UK) for another year.
You may have activated pilot fully, you’d also see the lane markings go blue on the display.
On motorways It usually works quite well other than sometimes getting grumpy about keeping hands in the wheel if you don’t resist its wheel nudges enough.
On normal driving I have the LKA In alert only...
You do seem to need to set it quite high on the pre-facelift exclusive I have unless the cabin is particularly cold, not sure where they're measuring the internal temperature.
It's something Björn Nyland often brings up in his youtube videos that he has to set the temperature a lot higher on...
Electroverse and Elli (free tier is fine) is worth having.
The Elli card will often start the BP pulse A/C chargers you sometimes find in various car parks. (If the chargers are actually working that is)
If you hold the centre button on the volume control knob long enough it should trigger the infotainment to reboot. (I'm not sure if it will work if it's fully locked up but worth a try)
I sometimes do it when mines being a pain about going into CarPlay.
Didn’t even plug into the obd2 and at least lookup the codes? That’s just terrible.
I’d understand if they got a HV fault code and couldn’t touch the HV system but to not even run a diagnostic?
They probably are the same hardware as the V4 supercharger, but the software may have been customised to fit the requirements of the CPO, so it might not be the same as the software running on the ones used for the Tesla Supercharger network. Only Tesla and the CPO would likely know for sure...
It would be interesting to see if the MG's that still can't charge on Tesla chargers work on them or not. (They may be running different software than the ones Telsa themselves manage/own)
I think it’s a rather specific software release that MG hq has to make available to that car rather than a general release. I’ve heard MGs software release process is a bit special shall we say and there’s multiple software versions floating about.
Ive had i think 2-3cases of check HV battery...
Take it into an MG dealer and ask that they contact MG about it, it required a software update to be made available by MG HQ to fix.
I would get it looked at because if it does cause limp mode it's a rather unpleasant experience because the power is severely limited to the point where the car...
Which software though as I'm pretty sure that's just going to be the software and map versions on the infotainment system rather than the various ECU's
I've seen an outside socket get warm at even 6A but then again I'm not convinced the electrics in that place were up to a particularly decent standard.
It's to try and avoid overheating the socket, although some old worn sockets may still be an issue so make sure to check it's not getting too hot if you are going to charge off a 3pin plug.
