Cleaning the MG ZS "engine bay"

I aways keep my engine bay clean...Why? because I like to see it clean. I too would never have a pressure anywhere near my car...let alone the engine bay! I get through quite a few Costco Kitchen rolls keeping my cars clean.......spray wipe, spay wipe ...thats it, until its clean. I've used...

What dose your HS read at full charge?

A few years ago my son had a Volvo Diesel PHEV ( can't remember the model ..but it was quite rare) and he often got 60/70 MPG on a longish run. Modern PHEV's are mostly petrol and its a fact that Diesels do more MPG than petrols. And of course in any PHEV you are lugging a big heavy...

What dose your HS read at full charge?

Very similar to my 6 year old Mitsubishi PHEV.....the only reason I keep that is for its 4 wheel drive and its low value. To be honest I think PHEV's are pretty useless for long runs. That's why I bought my MG ZS EV......and hopefully I will be upgrading that for a long range one.....soon.

MG ZS EV - Faults cannot drive...

I am not an expert on how the 12 volt normally receives its charge.....but I do remember going through a similar thing when I first got my car 2 years ago. It can't do any harm to charge the 12 volt direct and may solve the problem.

MG ZS EV - Faults cannot drive...

If it had been me, I would have plugged my (regular) battery charger direct onto the 12 volt..overnight. Just like on an ICE car. Its just a dumb computer....if it thinks the 12 volt is too low...it just won't work. (in my opinion) There is a common link here..new cars not yet used much, not...

LONG DISTANCE DRIVERS - HOW DOES THE HS COPE WITH LONG DISTANCE DRIVING

If you had your time over again?

I'm very happy with it after 18 months..........I'd only change it for a EV with better range....if that could be another ZS EV..then great...but I am currently looking at other Ev's.

Have you got any rust on your MG ZS EV?

I use WD40 to thin down my Waxoyl so that it sprays easier....been doing it for a decade...I never have any rust under my cars. However, recently looking under my sons Ford Focus, I was horrified by the surface rust under there......apparently its quiet common of Fords....I wouldn't know...

    AA Recovery

Well if you need the AA I hope you get better service than I did 2 weeks ago. I was in my classic car which boiled over. After waiting 5 hours with no show, we hired our own breakdown truck for £60 for the 5 mile trip home. Being an Auto it was not worth risking wrecking the gearbox by towing...

    Worrying fact about my mg5

My heart goes out to you..I know just how you must be feeling..."if only I could wind the clock back a few seconds" Many of us have been there at one time or other.....mine have mainly been scrapes and scratches, but 55 years ago, I ran my Mini-van into the back of a VW beetle ....it had a...

    Worrying fact about my mg5

Glad you were OK ......You may (or probably may not!). recall that the main reasons I didn't buy the MG5 after my test drive, was the lack of emergency braking, compared to my ZS EV. I am getting to age now where I like having some automatic backups, just incase! ......but of course, like...

    Steering Lock Squeal?

Could be surface rust on the brake discs.....i've had that on loads of cars, especially following rain, or washing the car.
