Did you find a solution? As I give MQTT a try via the python libraries and it seemed to have the same 'waking up' issue. I didn't manage to get as far as integrating with ABRP
I did try Enode on a short trip and sure; it updates the SOC on the app, it seems with a slight delay as I imagine it only polls every x minutes. It isn't as quick to update as OBD.
Where both the solutions have issues with the MG4 is the OBD dongle sets off the alarm; requiring the likes of...
I just got approved as it seems everyone else in that thread.
So far I have linked sucessfully so will see how it goes.
Says it is "Charging at 45kW" which is impressive for a granny charger when the car isn't charging at all.
Has Dreev always been able to do this? Before the MG smart app added the secondary account part?
And yes the bottleneck is seeming at ABRPs side; for right now I have my ODB2 and switch setup which works.
Over in the Facebook group there have been a few people saying they've had calls from the dealer to say there's been a new software update this Monday which addresses LKA as well as other issues.
Anyone here had that? Link but not sure if you can see it.
After a lot of faff with Python modules (hate that stuff) and having to compile python from source I kind of got MQTT working in terms of it can contact the car and output a load of stuff on screen. But I put in my connection to ABRP and... nothing, doesn't update anything, not sure if the car...
I've tried to use the Secondary Account setup in the iSMART app and I'm confused as to how it is supposed to work.
I've filled in the form by setting Permanent.
It has already filled in the vehicle and VIN
Then it asks for name and phone number. Although apparently you can use an email...
First I've heard of the MQTT gateway. Sounds interesting. I have the means to spin up a VM to run this for me so I might give it a go if I can find a reasonable guide on how to do it.
I got my OBD2 dongle and it works nicely. But does set off the alarm when using the iSmart app as expected. For now manual plugging is good enough, at least until we see if Enode works.
Yeah that one sets the alarm off too.
It is saying that the issue was with only one connection being allowed at a time and thus you'd get logged out of the MG iSmart app. But the last update to the iSmart app a month ago allows the setting up of a secondary account. Presumably this can be used to allow Enode?
