    1 phase or 3 phase wallbox ?

UK MG ZS EV wont go above 7kW on fast charging. Some other manufacturers models do and future UK MGs might.

I'd use them because of their owner, in addition to their ease of use and price.

    KERS

Just to check. You are not using Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), either on its own or as full MG Piliot. With the ZS EV, unlike the MG4, KERS does not operate when ACC is being used.

Warranty still valid? - Bought 2022 ZS EV with no proof of first service

I live not far from there (used to take the kids to the Model Village there and the nearby Odds Farm Park) and could pop by and ask is that the car without the warranty?

    Range loss in Winter

If your recent journeys efficiency has been around 2.34 miles per kWh then yes. That would be 2.34 x 50.5 ( kWh useable battery). Lots of short journeys in the cold , where the battery has not had time to heat up would give you this efficiency. This is only the car's guestimate though. If you...

Advice on where to put a 7kW charger point

I agree. I value the tethered charger on the uliity it brings me ( as described by you) and not on economics.

    MG iSMART - secondary account

If you set up a secondary account (nb dont try and bind it to the car) and then invite that account as a family member they can also be logged in at the same time as the primary account and use preheat etc. Have the primary account on one phone eg of a main driver and the secondary account on...

Installing panels on a garden room.

My house ( mid terrace) roof has a dormer on one side (probably too weak for the ballast to hold down solar panels and difficult I think to assess so too much risk.of collapse) and three velux windows and a wrongly shaped / positioned gable on the other side. So the main roof is not really...

Do I really need an 'proper' EV charger?

You don't need to but I find it way more convenient and easier to use a dedicated 7kw chargepoint (A hypervolt 2). The additional life utility of that convenience and ease of use is worth more to me than the cost of the installation. You would have to decide if it was for you. Don't analyse it...
