Granny chargers are very useful though when staying at someone's house to charge or some holiday accommodation that lets you plug into an outside 3 pin plug socket. Paying for what you use of course.

how do you connect such things up. Does it eg charge through the 12v socket ( 'the cigarette lighter socket') or do you need wires going under the hood / bonnet ? Or somewhere else?

Have one dongle for the apple and one for the android. Just plug in whichever is to be used when starting off and unplug just before exiting.

Mine does this (72 ZS trophy Connect). I asked for update to fix along with the Tesla fix at a service. The V2L one didnt work but the Tesla one did. I am changing to an S5 in about 8 weeks. Hopefully it will work properly in that. I only really want it for an emergency if the house loses...
