I am not familiar with car dealer / manufacturer economics but I don't understand why they are offering such big discounts on a relatively new model?
Could it be in preparation for the launch of the MGS6?
I think my MG5 PFL SR is lovely to drive, so from the comments above about the MGS5...
Saw the MGS5 in the showroom - impressive but the boot was slightly smaller than my MG5PFL - though the boot floor did drop making it deeper - good for the dog!
However, I really liked the HS hybrid next to it. Much bigger boot - wondering if the MGS6 will be as big?

My experience of a diesel Renault Kangoo was disappointing. Our MG5 is the first non-Japanese derived vehicle we have bought and it has blown me away to be honest. If I get the time I will post a SHORT one year experience review!
The only part I fully agreed with was the charging cable being from a reputable source!
It was scare mongering. The guy that had the bad fire STILL drives an electric car! Says it all really!

Reading all the comments and suggestions, it is definitely horses for courses. Buying private means a considerable commitment ( either cash or PCP) for the purchaser. Reading the forum I have come to the conclusion that reliability seems to be the key. Those that have had "issues" with their car...
