    Sleeping in MG4 [merged thread]

https://www.vango.co.uk/faros-ii-low This is not a blow up one but it gives you an idea. They do not have to be attached to the vehicle. Ideal for storage and changing - just a thought.

    Sleeping in MG4 [merged thread]

The awning/ tent does not need to be attached to the car - just near by. Consider a Vango blow up awning. Can be erected in 10 mins. This post has given me some great ideas for the future. A very enjoyable read.

    Sleeping in MG4 [merged thread]

Really enjoyed reading this - thank you. I get the impression a small blowup awning/tent could be useful to change clothing and store stuff from the car. You sleep in the car though. Just a thought for the future!

    Potential New Owner Questions

If you are always doing long trips, 100 miles or more each day, then a small diesel would work out cheaper. For short journeys, I would not recommend a diesel, as the DPF will clog up. What you choose will depend on the type of journeys you will be doing and the storage you need in the car. The...

One if my concerns for you is if it rains and Caliban gets stuck in that mud?

    More charging fun times.

I always expect issues but luckily only once had an issue with Apple Green. Charged after the third attempt using a different charger.

First time travelling from East Kilbride to Leeds with MG4

Zap-map is you friend but do check how to submit payment. Some chargers need the appropriate app as contactless does not always work. Look at possible charging stops, see what company runs them and download their app on your phone. Have at least one alternative if you have difficulty with the...

Not how I thought today was going to pan out...

Quite frankly I am gutted for you. I am not sure what your legal position would be but morally I would expect the garage who sold you the car to buy it back at a preferential sum. Unfortunately that would probably mean trading in for another MG! I imagine you want to run a mile from MG’s! You...

    Reliability worry

To be fair, if you have a bad experience with any make of car you avoid such a purchase in the future. We can learn from others but firsthand experience is the best way to come to a judgement. I try hard to conduct due diligence before buying any car. I have bought, what I would consider lemons...

    Sleeping in MG4 [merged thread]

A very enjoyable thread to read. Thank you for taking the time to post. I imagine the MG5 would be even more comfortable to sleep in(?). Anyone tried it? Love the roof tent but not sure the wife would manage the climb! The car as a source of power for camping is brilliant.

    Reliability worry

My guess is that you will be surprised how good the electric driving experience is. When you have had a reliable car it is a concern. If you have low expectations, you will be surprised how good these cars are to drive. Did you have a test drive of the MG4? My MG5 is our "family" car. I prefer...

    Reliability worry

Out of interest, what car (make, model, year) are you replacing with the MG4?

A strong magnet might work - provided you can tip the clasp a little to the side or even uopside down?
