I had a new SMETS2 meter installed 3 weeks before changing to TE, yet they still manage to bill me. The apps didn’t work, so I had very little idea of my usage. As I said, I can’t have been the only customer not to have paid for my electricity due to TE’s incompetence.

My EVSE is in my attached double garage, and where the car is parked. After researching, I decided to buy and install a heat alarm in there, rather than a smoke alarm. It’s connected to smoke alarms inside my bungalow, so should provide an audible warning of anything untoward in the garage.

On this page of the app, is scheduled charging on? If it is, the car won’t charge outside of the set times on AC but it will on DC, which will override charging schedules.

Is scheduled charging set on the app or car screen? If so, turn that off.

@MG Clive - I suppose I didn’t need to read the posts in the first place, so your apology (though appreciated) is not really needed. I suffered this sort of ‘toilet humour’ from my boys. I think they grew out of it by the time they were old enough to drive……!

That’s brilliant news David! You ought to be able to add on a sum for stress and time spent on phone calls/emails etc., but I guess you will just be glad to be shot of the whole miserable business.
