That was a very strange one. Juggling phone calls to his wife, and then the police for assistance, and then ending up with no damage to his car, after apparently having to crash into a vehicle. Quite a puzzle.

I think you are both right. But what a monstrous situation to put other drivers and the police into. I hope he gets a jail term.

I don’t think that sat nav is updated by dealerships. You need to download new versions from the MG website on to a USB and do it yourself. I don’t know the latest one, but from other posts it’s usually well behind the current date. I don’t use the in-built sat nav, preferring Apple or Google...

It seems quite bizarre to go to such lengths and risk writing off a car, in order to possibly escape a speeding fine/points. There has to be more to it for someone to cause a major incident involving many police vehicles, who are also risking injury and vehicular damage. Just why?

@siteguru - I never had to do anything remotely like that to set up/use the digital key for my ZS. I don’t think I even sat in the car. Maybe a different process for the 4?

@peterseddon - provided your seatbelt is fastened. If I am just moving my car in or out of my garage, I don’t want to put on my seatbelt, but the car refuses to move. I have to manually release the EPB.

@Martinonline the ZS doesn’t have the ability to turn on seat heating from the app, unfortunately. But the difference in the messages is quite odd.

@Martinonline I just tried switching my A/C on low, which it did perfectly. However, the wording which I complained about at #65 has changed to the same as yours at #69. I shouldn’t complain though - I love my car, and having an app to heat/cool is ace!
