I definitely would have asked them politely to move their vehicle to a nearby free space if I needed to use the charger. Did you? I think it would be very selfish to not move in that scenario.

I always drive in ‘eco’ mode, and find the AC works just fine. When you turn on AC remotely, for heating or cooling, it only stays on for 10 minutes to protect the battery. Depending on the exterior temperature, it may not have been possible to reach that temperature in the time.

When I changed my plates to something MG related, I used the special double sided tape - a lot more strips than recommended, to be on the safe side, and thicker tape on each end of the rear plate where the car curves. I didn’t want to chance drilling the plates, and I think they look neater...

Another forum member posted that the car would be unbound from the iSMART app in 72 hours, if the previous owner didn’t respond. In your case, it’s a forgone conclusion!

I agree. Whatever I set on the iSMART is replicated on the infotainment screen, and vice versa.

There are certainly some ridiculous scenarios that definitely don’t help EV drivers. For example, my local huge Tesco has half a dozen charge points. During the supermarket opening hours, you can park free for 3 hours. When the store is closed, you can only park for half an hour! That’s just so...

@scoobeesnac I have had no issues with DAB or the iSMART app after installing the shark fin aerial - it all works just the same as it did before.

Over the last few days, I have deliberately switched the driver’s screen to anything other than the ‘car on the road’ screen. When I have restarted the car, it has stayed on whatever I set last time. How weird that the same model of car can behave so differently!
