    R27 VS R25

@JohnV6 - do you have the standard or long range ZS version? The reason I ask is that both you and @Data have R27 on your infotainment. Mine was recently updated, but to R25, so I wonder whether R27 only applies to long range cars.

1 Year with the new ZS EV!

I have had mine for over 3 years now (also bought new), and I am very happy with it. It’s comfortable to drive and the ride height suits me well. I’ve had the odd glitch with the infotainment, but recently had it updated to R25, which seems more stable. My son fitted an auto tailgate, which...

    New food waste collection

@securespark - I went on to read the many comments that ‘Vegandy’ added to other people’s reviews…… He’s really not too keen on the Henderson’s version, is he? I buy the Geo Watkins mushroom ketchup, which is vegetarian and really good. Although it’s called ‘ketchup’, it’s the same...

I just can’t get on with banana skins either!

    New food waste collection

We have a (blue lidded) wheelie bin for recycling glass, cans, paper, cardboard, plastic, foil and tetrapaks. A black bin for non-recyclables, and a brown bin for garden waste, (optional and by yearly subscription). And, of course, the food waste caddy, which I no longer use. I recycle ‘soft and...

    New food waste collection

We have had food waste collection for years, and I did use the service for some time. The special food waste caddy liners that were biodegradable, (either starch based or paper) invariably didn’t last the full week, so I generally needed to load one bag into another. A waste of money really. I...

    Home charger extension?

@Alun26 - why not just reverse the car in?

The size of trucks on the road now

@T1 Terry Good heavens - that’s absolutely immense!

    Is this SoH OK?

    We must have!

    Is this SoH OK?

@Data - I really appreciate all your words of wisdom re. the scanner/apps etc., but I have sent it back to Amazon. It’s just too much of a faff! I gave up.

    Is this SoH OK?

@decrep - weirdly, I did have to wipe over the reg plates on my MG yesterday, as they (like the rest of my car) were really filthy. And I was in a hurry…….

    Is this SoH OK?

@decrep - that’s totally bizarre! I used to drive our 9m tag axle motorhome (and thoroughly enjoyed so doing), but sadly no personalised reg plate. No fare paying passengers though. And definitely no banjo!!!

    Is this SoH OK?

@Data I tried these 2, followed all the instructions, several times, but couldn’t get a green light connection at all. Thank you for your help, but I’m just not up to trying yet again!

    Is this SoH OK?

I have tried several times to get the Vgate iCar Pro to connect to the car/app, but either the dongle is faulty or there’s an issue with the socket in the car. I only get a solid red light, and intermittent green and blue when plugging/unplugging. It’s going back to Amazon as ‘faulty’...

Trying to install iSmart but MG5(FL) won't "Bind"

@KafueRob - Don’t be tempted to try the ‘unbind’ option a second time. Apparently, that will set it back to the full 72 hours again!

    Is this SoH OK?

@Data Haha - you appear to have more confidence in my abilities than I have! However, in a bid to impress my grandchildren with my technical knowledge, but mainly to satisfy myself that my HV battery isn’t about to die prematurely, I have invested in the OBD scanner you mentioned, the ‘4’...

    Is this SoH OK?

@Data - thanks! I thought it couldn’t be as simple as just needing a particular app on its own. I have doubts as to my ability to ‘read’ data from an OBD dongle, but perhaps I should do some research……

    Is this SoH OK?

@AnaloguePete - can I ask which app tells you your battery SOH? I thought you needed an OBD thingy.

    Winter Tales

@Ian Key - maybe that is true for secondary schools, but primary schools are certainly very local and quite numerous where I live. The other reason for the much larger secondary schools is the enormous skill set required for the curriculum - many many more subjects than were taught when I was...
