    MG ZS EV Crack/click noise

Yeah I did, and it resulted in it being booked in for the steering column universal joint to be replaced.

    chargers away from home

The ZS will only charge at a max of 90kW anyway so the fact it is a 175kW charger is kind of irrelevant, you might even be paying more because it has a higher potential... I look for 50-100kW chargers as anything less is too slow and anything more is pointless.

New Car Day - Initial questions

I find that this is hit and miss, doesn't always turn on the rear demist

    MG ZS EV Crack/click noise

I would get it checked sooner rather than later if it is anything like mine and happens when you brake... might be something pretty bad and safety related.

    Shocking (cost of electricity)

Not sure I would want to be charging and discharging the EV that often

    2022 range

It would appear that an EV is not for you then... This is why it is always important to do your research properly before buying anything to make sure that it is actually fit for the purpose that you intend to use it for. If you can't do 60 on the motorway don't buy an EV If you have to have the...

    The Purchasing Experience

I DO ride a motorcycle :ROFLMAO: You are right, that is probably where my habit of being too close to the white line comes from.

    The Purchasing Experience

The LKA definitely makes you question how you drove before it, mine has led me to realise I spent a lot of my time driving too close to the centre line, now I drive almost dead centre and it only complains on narrow roads.

    Shocking (cost of electricity)

Is that an EV tariff or are you still on a legacy fixed? If the latter you have a big shock coming when your deal ends :ROFLMAO:

    1st service cost, seems expensive!

I pay £6 per month at Baylis MG for my service plan... £169 sounds like daylight robbery for one service if you ask me. Pure profiteering as there isn't anything to do on the first service apart from a visual inspection really.

    Inflating tyres and wheel trims

I don't recommend trying to inflate the wheel trims though... might be there a while ;)

    MG4 Long Range Battery Charging

might be worth asking this on the MG4 forum? Usual things with an EV though, you won't get the claimed 275 miles in the winter... 220 is a much more realistic figure for low temperature and crappy weather driving. Plus as the car is new, it is getting used to your driving style to allow it to...

    chargers away from home

it could be that the charger is cold, give it a few minutes and it should speed up, the batteries in your car may be cold, again, give it time to warm up. max charge rate for a Mk2 is only something silly like 75kW (might be 90, I can't remember which) and that is usually only up until you reach...

    Shocking (cost of electricity)

I did say you will need to ring them... EDF do not do an EV tariff at present and the 33.7 IS the cheapest "normal" rate due to the government introduced cap. I can only assume that the OP is on a dual rate tariff hence being called "flexible" and that is their peak rate with an off peak rate...

MG ZS EV Door handles locks faulty or is there a knack?

take that straight back to the dealer as that is a huge safety issue if you are unable to vacate the vehicle in an emergency... very dangerous indeed and I would not be comfortable carrying passengers in the back until that had been resolved.

    Shocking (cost of electricity)

octopus go at the moment I think is about 41p during the day and 12p for 4-5 hours overnight... quite handy if you can switch things like the dishwaher, tumble dryer and waching machine to being used after midnight to take advantage of the cheap rate along with the car. but yeah, standard...

Octopus will take new customers on their EV tariffs, you have to phone them though.
