I also wish this... My BMW plug in hybrid I had before this wouldn't let you drive off with the flap open. So far though I have not left it open, I am in the habit of closing as soon as I have pulled the cable out.
I drove to Coventry and back last week... 83 miles each way.
Averaged 4.3m/kWh
I drive at 60 using MG Pilot
I drive in Eco (mostly, though have got the same consumption rates in Normal)
I control the A/C manually as Eco reduces the fan speed when it is set to auto
So in short I think the bit...
Reading the various woes that people have had with the iSmart app, I must be the only person in the world who was able to pair the phone the first time with no problems (using email admittedly)
the 148 is probably based on a calculation of how you are driving since turning the car on. If you have been particularly heavy footed or driving uphill, or you wacked on the A/C then the range is going to drop based on that additional usage.
Have you made sure that the two sockets you are using for the powerline devices aren't on separate ring mains? - Edite: Saw you were using a version of powerline before so ignore the first bit.
The standards haven't changed, ethernet is ethernet is ethernet... The devices use the same...
You can actually get the same economy performance out of "Normal" if you drive it right... I have managed to get 4.3 miles per kW with the A/C on in Normal mode before so it is doable... just relies on you being a bit lighter with the go pedal
It's easy enough to say leave the windows open an inch or two, but for someone who has come from driving vehicles that the alarms go off when windows are left open (because of the unltrasonic sensors inside the car) it is a very difficult habit to get out of. I would rather have the habit of...
As far as any of us know the facelift ZS EV lacks anti pinch sensors on the other three windows which is why they don't have "one touch" operation for closing them, which is a requirement for global closure.
I don't like how the ACC brakes when approaching standstill traffic at speed, it does it quite harshly so I usually disengage the ACC before the systems attempts to brake because of this. I only tend to use the ACC on motorway anyway and I do very little braking on motorway when driving normally...
I have not driven the outgoing model, but have you made sure to set the regen on the new one to "3" which is the strongest setting. Should be that out the showroom but just checking
I did my first long(ish) trip Tuesday/Wednesday
Tuesday - Gloucester to Coventry (74.6 miles) - M5, M42, M6, A roads... A/C set to 16 (it was fecking hot), MG Pilot set to 60mph, Radio on loud to hear over the blaring fans. Averaged 4.3M/kW.
Wednesday - Coventry to Gloucester (60 miles route...
I would imagine that they are all the same motor mounts, so potentially could fit the drivers window motors and sensors in the other three windows... although I wouldn't like to know what the availability of parts would be for MGs at the moment :ROFLMAO: and even then you would need to have...
The only time I have missed a grab handle is in the wife's A-Class, which doesn't have one for the passenger... I like to hold it while I am being driven around by the wife lol, have never used a grab handle as a driver.
It will likely be missing the anti-pinch sensor, or at least a different motor without the ability to detect "pinch" Plus the window switches on the other three doors are only two stage down, not two stage up which is how the drivers window switch is.
I can't find the actual article but here is a more recent one that shows 50k miles before break even, the 150k I stated may be inflated from my poor memory but if I find the article I will post it here...
Aren't these just ambient light sensors for the auto lights? Have had these little suckers present on cars that don't have auto climate control.
The auto climate control is done via internal temperature sensors to denote how strong the fan needs to blow.
It's not a waste of energy though when I can just get straight into my car and drive away without having to risk passing out due to the heat, or taking time to "air" the vehicle...
I too have not bought an EV because it is "green" I am aware that to actually be "green" with an EV you need to...
