Hi @Pauly could you do me a small favour and post a photo of your new granny charger supplied.
I want to check if it’s the same as the previous ZS & that the 3D printed designed holder I sell is still appropriate.
For Sale - MG Granny charger Wall Holder/Mount £10
Thanks.
That’s correct, we have seen that the SOH% ties up directly with the GOM reduction from 163 miles. So you can figure out the SOH pretty accurately just by the (reset) fully charged GOM reading.
Maybe what we need (now there’s been more time for data) is data plotting a graph of X=mileage...
The 100mV thing from MG, was I believe, just the cut off figure for the faulty BMS issue, they were supposed to keep the car and balance it at the dealer until it was within this amount.
Unfortunately we know for a fact that most of the MG dealers (in regard to the EVs) are very unknowledgeable / untrained / don’t care / “lie”!
Fortunately we can read exactly the same data that they can via ocbd, so can check for definite what they tell us.
There isn’t a “like” button for “jealous” otherwise I’d click it!
The trouble with FB vs a proper forum like this, is people that take the effort to use a forum generally have the sense to Google things first etc ?
I know battery health is definitely affected by unfavourable charging regiment etc, but I think luck also plays a big part in battery health - no battery cells are ever really identical, could have a pack with some above average cells or a pack with some below average cells…
Your figures don’t really make sense.
If you have a fully charged balanced (or pretty much balanced) battery, you would be seeing 448/449/450 or 455/456volts, not 445volts which you are seeing.
If you definitely have fully (AC) charged, then within say 12hours, started the car without the brake...
Yeah I have been neglecting the forum! Been a bit busy & to be honest things are shifting for obvious reasons towards the new model - which I unfortunately aren’t getting :(
I’ve been seeing the Facebook group posts more recently, I need to stop looking at them though as it winds me up how...
I’m not sure about any of this, as you’re not talking about the UK as most folk on here are from.
I thought the new ZS in Europe had the 3phase onboard charger. Is this purely for “proper” wall chargers, or is the granny supplied different?
In the UK it is kinda illegal to fit a mains rated...
Thanks all, it was from the bonnet.
I haven’t opened the bonnet for a few weeks so didn’t even look there. Bit weird that it must’ve come out without being opened.
I found a rubber bung like part on the driveway where my ZS (gen1) is usually parked, I'm guessing it's come off the car but can't work out where from.
Anyone got any ideas?
There is an irregular hole when I open the charging flap, that looks like something may have been there and broke - have...
Maybe the updates were not applied correctly, it's not uncommon unfortunately and can be a pain to get sorted out.
You'd need to take it to one of the few dealers that know what they are doing and tell them that the radio is doing the volume thing, hopefully they'll know it was fixed in one of...
Anything is possible with enough effort.
Not sure how easy it is to do the necessary comms with an arduino, will you need the standard chip (the name I can’t remember) used for most obd2/can comms still though?
