    MG4 51kWh LFP Battery Health

Its good to charge the LFP battery to 100% at it recalibrates itself (I believe), at least thats whats I've seen on my home 20kWh battery system - at home it gets a little lost if I dont charge it to 100% every few weeks.

Rodents ate my car (well not quite but they had a go)

Its common on an ICE car - infact I'm pretty sure I've either seen a mouse, or found evidence in most of my cars in 35 years. To be honest suprised to find this in an EV due to the lack of warmth (I've stuck a heat camera on the MG4 after a 5 hr road trip - the hotest was the tyres, which was...

    Wiper blades hitting each other

Good news on the wiper, you'll only know on the LKA after many miles of driving. (y) (y)

...Just ordered an MG4 Trophy ER (my first EV) any advice most welcome...

If you're starting from scratch get a charger that uses Kraken technology, as it gives you access to all tarrifs. I was provided with an ohme pro ( more by luck ), but am so pleased that I was provided with this given what I know now. EDIT: the car will be fine, you'll soon be getting solar...

    Run flats

I guess I'm of a similar age and a country bumpkin, , I find run flats very hard, what I've done on my BMW Z4 (and also on the MG4), is purchased a 2nd hand get me home wheel & tyre), which are only used on journeys away from home (i.e. away on holiday) - touch wood in nearly 35+ years of...

LKA Lane Keep Assist - is MG Listening?

I think that this is a build date, my MG4 was built around then, but has no issues with LKA, as it stays off by default.

Scheduled charging - what am I doing wrong.

I've never used the MG4 to dictate charging = no issues todate (via an ohme charger on IOG, 🐙)

Results of being rear-ended at 20mph...

Cracking result - Wasn't expacting this outcome from the MG4, you may be better discussing privately with the offending Ford Focus / their insurance company, as as soon as you claim (even on their insurance), then your premium will go up.

    Granny charging

Basically No: Just get a wall charger fitted, which will come certificated = home insurance = happy. I'm the same currently with the old house wiring, but only run lights & basic curcuits, with a base load of 50W. I've used a granny charger away from home and managed to melt the extension lead...

    MG4 – ESSEX SERVICING

Much with yourself! - sadly a modern EV/car is an appliance rather than a machine - I'm still trying to get my head around this (y)

    MG4 – ESSEX SERVICING

just go onto еQuote, you'll find that they are all the same price. Yr 1 ~ £114, year 2 ~ £214 (in yr 1 they dont change anything, and in yr 2 its the air filter ~ 30 seconds to do via the trunk!)

    Yellow battery gauge

.. as @siteguru noted.... its just one of those things! ... I've seen it once or twice, but not noticed anything notable!

    Low Speed charging rate variable

Around the world we all have ever so slightly different charging regimes. We pass everything through the battery, so want a slower rate such that everything in the house/car/ heat pump is less than 5kW (otherwise the unit rate from the grid is 3 times higher) - so in my view just set it to a...

    MG4 : 1st Service : What to expect?

Its all a little bit of pot luck - I didn't bother with the 1st service as its only an inspection. Just done the 2nd service (with MG) - again very little needed (brake fluid may have been changed + Key fob batteries + pollen filer -which was as new ), but its a very light touch. I specifically...

.... I was going to say that.... but didn't feel it was my place with the XPower, only was aware of this major issue following the Forum podcast (via youtube) the other evening which then linked to @case dismissed , seriously I cant believe that the vibration at 55mph+ is classed as a...
