Have you checked your IHD (I also have bright) as that will give you a good indicitation as to how its working (is it using 2 gauges on the smart meter or 1 gauge - EDF use 2, Octopus & EoN use 1 etc.. )

For me, on IOG its more a bit of fun, but at the end of the day, I can only take 10Kwh safely, so its a saving of 70p (in my case as everything is offset with batteries), others it might be a bit more, but just be safe!

To be honest a tow bar for a Karoq is going to be more common (as its a standard MQB platform), hence cheaper (a quick search is around 1/2 price)+plus the MG4 will only do 500kg towing - if your interested I have a brand new factory electrinic one, which may fit the Karoq (I'll check)
