I'm guessing all this is regarding a HS PHEV? My Mk2 ZSEV (22 reg) doesn't have a lot of those issues. The windscreen, side and rear glass has a very slight tint from the factory and it's miles better than my old MK1 ZSEV. All glass blocks UV 100% so you can't get sunburn, but I agree without...
If bugs exist in the software then you'll get them whether it's via OTA or manual dealer update. The point is that OTA takes the requirements for Dealer time and staff out of the equation.
I completely understand the mess we are in regarding Software updates for MG EVs.
In an ideal world users want the latest software releases for free and done on demand. But MG dealers quite rightly want to be paid for their time paid by MGUK or the user, it doesn't matter to them. MGUK have...
It's normal. The heating element is controlled with a PWM signal circuit, this switches the heater on and off repeatedly to achieve the set temp. The higher the temp difference the more rapid the clicks. Nothing to worry about.
I'd charge to 100% on the Ohme with Octopus as normal then unplug from that and connect the granny charger to make sure it gets all the time it needs to complete the balance. You could even plug the granny charger in overnight on the Octopus whole house cheap slot if you're worried about cost...

Saw this today on a ZSEV forum FB post (it's not from me)
"Today my wife was driving to work, the car in front slowed down, she obviously braked. Nothing happened. She had to steer off the road to avoid the car in front, so the car ended up on the bank at the side of the road. A few minutes...
I was going to do a home battery system diy using old Leaf batteries myself, but when you can get new dedicated 9.5kWh battery and inverter from GivEnergy for under £5k then I just went with that.
We have a home battery system inverter (GivEnergy) that has an EPS (Essentials Power Supply) output which is auto switching (grid when available, battery when not) in event of grid fail and can handle 2.6Kw max. We have this wired through a separate consumer unit to the up and downstairs lights...
Auto Emergency Braking works with ACC on or off. On the times it's happened to me, when I've analysed the situation then it's been me that was wrong each time. As a human we make assumptions, like assuming a car is turning left at the next junction because their indicator is flashing. But what...
There is a software fix exactly for this problem. My 22 ZSEV Trophy LR was bricked on its first Rapid charge in N Wales back in April last year. AA flat bed it back to my dealer in Swindon who contacted MG UK and they issued a software update for it. Its been perfect ever since.
Not quite right. The thin wires to each series connected set of cells are there so that the BMS can detect the voltage of each series connected cell pack. If one of these cell packs voltage is higher than the rest by a pre determined amount then that individual cell pack is drained slightly...
