HV battery shutoff when initiating rapid charge. Vehicle control system fault.

Which charger in Wales was that? It wouldn't be the Ospray in St Asaph on the A55 like mine was would it?

Vehicle Control System Fault - New MG ZS EV 2022

None of the OBD2 apps work yet on the new MGZSEV so I can't get the details from the car, but when one does then I'll report back with the software versions that I have now since the update.

So the New ZS EV 2022 summed up in 12 miles

It doesn't matter, 12 v is topped up automatically from HV, even with the car off and locked.

So the New ZS EV 2022 summed up in 12 miles

On the new ZSEV the 12v is monitored constantly, even with the car off and locked, and it gets charged by the HV if it needs to be. Its in the manual.

Common problems with the new ZS EV

On the new ZS (UK Trophy) you have to put the car into full ON or Ready mode to even get to the screen in the infotainment that allows you to "stop charging". I had the original ZS for 2 yrs so I know this is alien, but after having the software update on the new ZS I was told this is the way...

Vehicle Control System Fault - New MG ZS EV 2022

OK, I've done 2 Rapid charges since the fix, one on a local 50 Kw Ospray before I went away again on my next long trip, and the next at my destination in Wales on a 50Kw PodPoint Rapid. Both charges went well. This time I decided to end the charge using the car's in-built functionality via the...

HV battery shutoff when initiating rapid charge. Vehicle control system fault.

Happened to my Trophy LR last week. Same as you tried everything. 3x AA men tried but none of their laptops would communicate with the car. Flat bed home. AA took it to dealer the next day who reset it and fitted a new 12v. MG UK told them to update the VCU and EVCC software. Now back with us...

To stop the car in this situation, do not press the brake pedal when switching off. It happened to me last week.

Its been fixed on mine! New UK Trophy LR model. I had the very same fault whilst Rapid charging last weekend (Vehicle control Fault and HV battery disconnect, car wont start. Tried the battery disconnect, lock and walk away for 15 mins etc, nothing worked. 2x AA vans tried with their respective...

MG ismart app - unable to register

Just tried my app and its working fine (UK Trophy) took about 10 sec to connect to the server and get details from the car. Initially it said no GPS, but on refresh it worked fine. So I don't think it's a permanent issue, probably a intermittent comms issue.

    EV Watchdog for MG EV

The new Mk 2 ZSEV uses a different protocol for communication, have you worked out which one it is? The old one was ISO 15765-4 CAN (11bit 500k baud), but this does not work for the Mk 2
