Multiple power cuts in West Yorkshire

I've got a cable off an old granny charger that went pop, does any one know what value of resistor is required to go between the PP and earth connections inside the type 2 plug to convert it to V to L?

    Rear Camera

Both front and rear cameras are of such a poor resolution that good images will be impossible to attain even if the lenses were immaculate. Built down to a price. Perhaps a third party manufacturer will come up with a better quality camera to retro fit.

100% Balancing Charge - Frequency and Method

Just started using the eZS app and here is the battery data screen which shows a SoH of 98.32% and a cell imbalance of just 0.02 V across the cells

    Infotainment screen slow startup

In the vehicle inf scree in settings check which release of software you have, I'm on R23 but I think we are now up to R25. You may find that an update fixes this.

Infotainment system - annoyances or just me?

I'm saying that it's inevitable that bugs will happen no mater how rigorous the testing is, and as long as when found they are fixed in a timely manner then that is acceptable. I've had both blind spot mirror indicators stuck on at the same time, this is probably a bug in the software, it's not...

Infotainment system - annoyances or just me?

I'm going off personal experience of 40 years working in the nuclear industry, the bugs were only minor and had no nuclear significance but never the less the software is written by humans and we make mistakes. The one phrase that gets my goat is "it's a computer error" it usually means that...

    eZS app

Yup found the screens. I checked the battery and it is perfectly in balance, the cell diff being 0.0008v, near enough zero for me. my SOH is 98.32 after two years and 22,000 miles, not bad.

    Hills starts

I agree ACC on it's own will not keep you in lane, but a double pull on he ACC stalk does a reasonable job of it. Why they call it traffic jam assist I don't know. Roll on when I can get a Tesla with Advanced Autopilot, or even FSD.

Infotainment system - annoyances or just me?

If you think that there should be no bugs in a system at all for cars then you'd be wrong, there are always bugs, you just hope that they are all minor things which in my case they are. I worked at a large power station which was controlled by computers and we found bugs in the software there...

Adaptive Cruise Control, it uses the top camera and the front radar to keep you in the centre of the lane and a set distance from the vehicle in front depending on speed. I use it all the time on motorways it takes some of the hassle out of driving.

    Hills starts

Our exit from ASDA is quite steep and if the car attempts to roll back the ABS cuts in and applies the brakes before the car has gone an inch. Wait till you try traffic jam assist, we got caught up in a 1hr delay on the M6 up to J33, I never touched the brakes or the accelerator once, just set...

MG ZS EV With R17 software

I never bother with the inbuilt nav system, I use Google maps on AA always up to date and with live traffic.

    eZS app

It would still be nice to know if you have a cell that is consistently lower than the rest. this would point to a future failure. As I've said before, I've had he car for over 2 years and not once has the car told me that the battery required balancing or, on the occasions that I've charged to...

    eZS app

This app is good for a lot of things BUT I'd like to see the cell voltage spread to check if the battery is balanced as in the two years since new the car has never said it needed a balance or that one had been done when I've charged to 100%. Is there another app out there or is eZS still being...

    Out of date navigation

I always use Google Maps, press the speech button on the steering wheel and tell it where you want to go and it does it, even with the non connect car version as you are using android auto.

First Service - A Tales of lies

My first service was about £120 and my second about £220. I have no problems with that as the tesla update and the infotainment update were both done for free. The second service they changed the brake fluid and pollen filter, but the rest was just checks. I was listening to Quentin Wilson the...
