None that I have found, I have to do the same as you. I do only use full MG Pilot on our motorways though, so on the off slip-road I disengage it ready for driving on other roads.
I haven't found a way yet. It's the flaky Chinese infotainment software, you can't even scroll through folders on a USB drive, it's rubbish but the rest of the car is great.
We've done 15,000 miles in our gen 2 EV and have never seen a message telling me to do an equalization charge. The vast majority of charges are on our home AC box, only DC rapid charges are when on holiday.
The number of times the app doesn't connect to the car is getting ridiculous. Get your finger out MG and stop giving us a second rate service. I have a 4 bar 4G signal so it's not me. It's beyond a joke.
I have the Nextbase 522GW with the rear camera accessory. works fine off the mirror USB although it's not powered when the car is shut down. Not in your price bracket but you get what you pay for. It's a lot cheaper than your insurance excess.
Because it's absolutely useless, not a fault of the system or the car but the utterly pathetic placing of road speed limit signs. My car picks up too many 20 mph signs on 30 limit roads, because the council have placed them too close to the main road or some scrote has decided to point them in...
I second the above, when I first got mine I joined and read the comments and thought to myself WTF have I bought, As RobinH mine has been faultless too, don't get me wrong they have their niggles, but nothing requiring a visit to the dealer.
Depends on the milage you do daily and how many long trips you do each year. Either model will do both well but you'll have to stop more often with the standard range model on long journeys. According to the MG website there are 4 choices, SE & Trophy in standard and long range.
Thought I'd add a positive post about our experiences while on holiday. We travelled from home to Devon, 300 miles. Stopped overnight at Michaelwood Days Inn, 200 miles with 1 meal break and charge stop. Charged up at Michealwood and arrived at the cottage near Bovey Tracey. Found a great Osprey...
They don't call it a "Guess 'O' Meter" for noting. Use it as a guide, not an empirical measuring device. The app always says that I have more miles than when I get into the car. I did a bit of local journeys the other day, started with 80% and 198 mls got home with 80% and 202 mls.
