I emailed MG europe and this is what they said, you will need a while to process this ?:
Many thanks for your email,
MG is continuously working to make its products better. For all updates, please get in touch with your local MG dealer.
Good morning all,
As we all know, when charging our cars we have limited information on the actual percentage, speed and state of charge. We can look at the display for 10 or 20 seconds which tells us very little. We can get some information from a rapid charger as to the current state of...
Part 2,
Now you can see the bolts that were identified. There are three. Two that are bolted to the cross bar type thing coloured yellow, and one that, in my case was very loose was on the adjustable slider for the steering wheel coloured green. I tightened that up enough that I could...
Part 1,
Hello All,
With the help from @Paulie68, I have fixed the noise from my steering. I have taken pictures of the process and along with the description from @Paulie68, the process may be now easier to follow.
Please see the post from @Paulie68 on this thread.
So firstly I removed the...
We should be able to sign off on the servicing on these cars ourselves with the learnings obtained from this forum??.
That has saved me a day trip to my nearest MG dealer, and it took less than an hour.
Absolutely, I am the same, but I was thinking that there will be more folks on here who...
Yes, the ones with the yellow were tight, but I got another half turn on them and now the noise is gone. Happy days. Hopefully I wont have to tighten the one under the wipers.
Many thanks for your assistance on this. I have taken pics of my process and I will post them later on.
Sorry Paulie68, the bolt with the green on it, or the one with yellow? There was alot of play in the green one so I tightened it enough so that the steering wheel can be adjusted nicely. The yellow ones cannot be tightened any more.
Thanks in advance
I agree, but if it takes an hour to do it at home it would save on the trip and at least I know it would be done right. From reading some of the posts online, it seems that most MG technician's are just not trained on these cars. As these cars are relatively new, and from China, it seems...
Hi Paulie68,
Thanks a million for that break down, its certainly detailed. Im going to give it a blast tomorrow. Wish me luck, and thanks again for sharing this with me and the community
Hi Paulie68,
I have this problem too. Its actually getting worse by the day. I have read your description of the fix, which is a great thing to share btw. I just wanted to ask you a few questions as I had a look under the steering wheel at the foot well and im unsure of where to go to tighten...
Yes. Lazslo eventually emailed me a non corrupt file. He had sent me three files that kept crashing. Even the one that eventually worked, took me over 4 times of trying before it worked. Its all up and running. The version date on the info tab is now aug 2020
I have no idea. I went to a motor factor with the old ones in hand and the guy gave me out the ones I needed. I just asked for a bigger size on the passenger side
László emailed me back this morning with a recover file link. Unfortunately the download kept crashing at about 40% when downloading to my pc. László is trying to sort it out.
The original wipers were 23 inches on the driver side and 14 inches on the passenger. I got bosch aero blade 23inch and 15 inch. The passenger side is very small so I went a bit bigger. Works well.
No type 2 unless you haggle. I told the dealer to throw one in, set of mats and mud flaps or I would go to another MG dealer who would offer me that.
The mud flaps are £150 inc install, the mats were £70 and the cable was £179. They said to me they would throw them in if it was a deal breaker...
