What I find annoying is I've got so used to the MG4 routine of just getting out and locking it to turn it off, that when I move SWMBO's MG5, get out and lock it, it beeps at me to say I haven't turned it off.
It was 30 od years ago and I get the two confused, they look the same but one runs on unleaded and the other doesn't, the one I had in the Rover didn't, I had to add the lead additive.
I was being sarcastic actually, I have read the thread and all the rubbish being spouted about NMC batteries not equalising at 80%, which is why asked the question, which was aimed at those saying you have to charge to 100% to equalise.
So, if you can only equalise at 100%, what exactly is my MG4 doing when it reaches 80% and carries on putting current in at a lower level if it's not equalising ? 🤔
Mine balanced at 70% a couple of months ago as I charged it during a period of free electricity I had, during the day, from EDF. I didn't want to go over the free time or change the Pod point schedule so I set it to manual and 70% in the car, I knew it would reach 70% before the end of the time...
I reset the car by turning it off and on again in the menus, car, safety, power off IIRC.
I usually have to do this if the infotainment system is taking its time to boot up and the Auto hold error message comes up and doesn't clear on its own.
