Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't using the car as a hot spot use your phone's data, so why not just use your phone as a hot spot without the car being involved ?

Pre-heating every day, short trips of 4 miles each way with the heater on 27C (22C real) I'm getting around 2 m/kWh. Gom is showing an optimistic 152 miles on 81% when in reality I'm getting around 130 from 100%.

Sounds like your GOM is pretty accurate at 165. My GOM says 227 at 100% in Winter but I get around 160 real world, depending how many preheats I do. GOM shows anything between 270-295 in Summer but I get 250 real world.

On the UK model, the minimum reading the display will show is 2 mi/kWh, which is equivalent to what your display is showing at 29.8 kWh/100 km regardless of what the actual consumption is.

I'm only in the car half an hour a day so I probably don't use 1GB, but it does seem incredibly low for anyone who uses the car more. If they need to limit it they should let you have at least 5GB.

FWIW, you can actually run it twice before it prevents you from using it again (to preserve the 12v), so you can get 20 minutes of cooling (or heating) out of it.
