Mine's done it a couple of times on the drivers door, I didn't try the other door at the time, but it started working again the next day.

That looks like the 30 second auto lock feature to me, which shouldn't engage after opening the boot. I tried unlocking mine, without opening a door, but opened the boot to chuck the key in and the car didn't auto lock. I also did the same without chucking the key in and again it didn't lock.

A poor response by the RAC, does the AA have the same rule now ? When I was an AA patrol many years ago, lockouts and flat batteries were the two most common call outs.

I think the advantage would be that if you don't use the cable much, the frunk is a good place to store it, saving some space in the boot and you won't have to open the bonnet anyway. But is that advantage worth the cost of a frunk, probably not ?

The SC077 update has improved it markedly. It actually follows the sensitivity setting and doesn't pull the wheel out of your hands.
