I hope all goes well for you tomorrow. Your wife will soon get used to it and I’m sure she will fall in love with it as the majority of us have done. Just make sure there’s none of the “it’s MY car“ nonsense or you’ll never get to experience all the joys that you’ve been reading about on this...
@ZZDave
I got mine from Jermyns in Seaford and have had updates done free of charge. They are are small dealership but quite knowledgeable and very customer-friendly. Coincidentally that is where @MG Technician did his training.
I think this has been misinterpreted. The C2 update is irreversible and may (will) affect previously personalised operating strategies. Basically you have to reset all your personal preferences again after C2 update - a minor hassle but not anything to put you off having the update done. They...
We can definitely scrub the idea that our VIN codes follow the Chevrolet format. Mine arrived in the country the week before lockdown and I eventually took delivery on 2nd June 2020. My code is FL too.
It’s not a bad idea to lock the doors anyway if you’re sat inside a stationary vehicle paying little or no attention to those in the immediate vicinity - as @Chrispydoc will testify.
Thanks to you and this forum we are NOT on our own. Whilst it’s been well documented that some dealerships are about as much use as a chocolate teapot - and the AA are still learning - it strikes me that between us all we can usually come up with the necessary answers. Keep contributing!
I originally found it on good old AliExpress but, whilst it was cheap, they were charging for delivery (and it would have taken two to four weeks in my experience). I then checked out Amazon and found the same strip at the Metal House and it was delivered free within 48 hours. It is actually...
@KasEV
For the avoidance of doubt, I don’t disagree with a lot of your sermonising on GOMs. What I do disagree with (and I apologise for repeating myself - something you rarely do) is the manner in which you talk down to people and hammer your points home again and again and AGAIN. You are...
The first few days that I had it on I got really wound up by the fact that it was always North up and I tried everything but couldn’t get it to change. As far as I can remember, the first time I actually entered a postcode to plot a route to somewhere I didn’t know and selected voice navigation...
That is exactly the question I wanted the answer to and the reason I joined this forum in the first place. However, it righted itself after the first time I actually put a route in.......and before I posted the question.
Well here we go yet AGAIN. It is indeed a myth that “people” resort to insults when “one” confronts them with facts. Do you not think that your confrontational retorts to all and sundry are a bit insulting to people who are simply having a discussion amongst themselves? @lee graham, @Mark Holmes...
With the greatest respect KasEV, the reason you get people‘s backs up is that you DO keep making points again and again and again and you talk down to people who have as much right as anybody else to express their thoughts and views. That is the whole point of a forum - open discussion and the...
