I've had mine charging at 79 point something but that's not very common. If I was younger and in more of a hurry then I'd agree with you and would want something that charges at 150kW or more.
As it is, on the rare occasions I am on a road trip, the car is charged before I've finished eating.
The pre FL MG5 doesn't have any of the hardware required to do proper V2L.
Depending on what you are intending to use it for is perhaps best to get an inverter that you can connect to the 12V battery.
Does anyone know how many watts the DC/DC converter on a pre FL can supply to the 12V circuit...
I've actually used mine more to start other people's cars than my own but if it saves just one wait for the AA to turn up then it is well worth the money.
If everything is working properly it should be just fine.
The car is supposed to charge the 12v battery when it needs it.
I would buy a cheap car starter power pack. I always have one in any car but for an EV you only need a cheap one so it seems a sensible precaution against a battery or...
Saved me about £80 for my 2nd year service. Watch out for the timing though. I wasn't allowed to book my service until after the payment had been taken for the contract and that was weirdly a couple of weeks after I signed up.
It sounds about the price people are being quoted when the coolant replacement is due.
Its always worth going onto the MG website to get a quote for a 1 year service contract. It asks for the registration number and current mileage and gives you a quote straight away.
If you can use Tesla chargers can I recommend this hotel Hotel Restaurant Weinebrugge - 4-star hotel in Bruges as a place to stop and get a coffee and/or a snack. It has a bunch of Tesla chargers in the car park and the place is super friendly with good coffee.
Its about 15 mins south of Bruges...
We used to love that Centre Parks when our kids were still young. Us adults really enjoyed the local beer too.
Huge respect to anyone taking a car into Bruges - We've only been there by train and that was busy enough for me.
On our more recent trip through Belgium I was using Tesla chargers...
They are not making any more MG5s and I think they have probably sold most of the old stock now. I think if you want an Estate EV you'd be looking at a much more expensive car than the MG. You did get a good deal in September - mainly because you chose the exact right time to buy.
You don't need to do anything with binding when you change phones. Binding links the car to your account on the app. As long as you log on to that account with your new phone it will be connected to the car. In fact you can have more than one phone in use (but it will log out the 1st phone when...
Unless battery prices fall really dramatically then I imagine scrap prices will be really quite high. In 2035 a LR MG will still have about 40 or 50kWh of battery left which could be useful in many applications.
A few things to try (listed in the order that they are likely to fix issues on my car/phone combo):
Try turning off Bluetooth on your phone - Android auto will turn it back on again but it might get the buttons in sync.
Try rebooting the infotainment - Long (very) press on the back button...
I fairly sure mine doesn't do that . Last winter I was stuck for 2.5 hours on a motorway in the snow and the car stayed on with the HV battery happily powering the heater.
