Thanks for your message, I've just done my FL5 as well. Exactly the same experience as yours. Previously I had been giving up too early. It really takes a long time to read the drive.
Only if you take your foot off of the accelerator. Typically, I don't. I drive in KERS 3 and use the accelerator to control my speed. If I want to coast, I can still do that in KERS 3 by pressing the accelerator the correct amount to coast.
I don't think that is likely. Maybe at some motorway service stations but upgrading the grid to provide power at that sort of rate won't be easy and the cable that supplies that much power is going to be very heavy.
I think it is because the KERS setting doesn't affect efficiency. It only changes how much kers is used by lifting the accelerator. If you need to slow down you can do it with the accelerator in KERS3 or with the brake pedal in KERS1, as long as you aren't braking hard then the car uses the same...
Good news, similar to my experience with Apple MG. I've also had success with doing all of the app steps and plugging in when the app tells me to. (FL5)
I had all of that on my Citroen C5 and, on balance I prefer having voice control of Android Auto. Although, the one thing I do miss with the MG5 is how good the Citroens climate control was - I set the temperature to what I liked and then never had to adjust it. The MG5 never quite seems to get...
Its not really the same sort of depreciation that we are used to though. Most of the effect is due to the new price coming down steadily. Its a shame that my Trophy is only worth half what I paid for it 18 months ago but such is life when you are an early adopter and I don't intend getting rid...
Does anyone actually know if that is true? Does gentle application of the brake pedal do friction and KERS at the same time? If it does then I'm surprised that people have so much trouble with pitted and rusted brake disks.
That is a result of the kers 3 setting doing the equivalent of pressing the brake pedal when you take your foot off the accelerator. You could put it in kers 1 and gently apply the brakes to get the same amount of power recovered in the power meter.
No, I'm thinking of the KERS setting. I think that it controls how much the throttle controls the KERS rather than using the brakes . I think the car still uses KERS when you apply the brakes regardless of the KERS setting. The KERS switch could more properly be named "one pedal driving feel...
The KERS setting on the car doesn't really change the amount of KERS that the car uses it just changes the way the throttle pedal feels and works.
My guess would be that carefully controlling the speed with KERS set to 3 is easier on the tyres than coasting until the last second and stamping on...
