Oh I didn’t realise that. I’ll probably avoid 11kW in future in that case.
I guess 22kW must be 7.4kW per phase then? I’m sure I’ve used one of those and got the full power.
No it didn’t. It remained at 1.7kW.
It was 1.7kW from the beginning. I turned on battery heating after a few minutes and it dropped to around 0.3kW but then it went back up to 1.7kW and stayed there.
In the end I had to drive across the road to a 75kW Osprey charger. A bit inconvenient but at...
I’ve had my car plugged in to an 11kW Gridserve unit at Ikea for about 40 minutes now and the whole time it’s only managed to draw 1.7kW. Has anybody seen this before? It’s currently 1°C outside, but I turned on battery heating just in case. I also wondered whether something might have happened...
I use the OVO Charge App (I believe similar to Octopus Electroverse) and it has some decent discounts. I've only just got a home charger installed but until now I'd been using a 150kW RAW Charging charger nearby which on the OVO app was 58p/kWh (52p for me as I pay the £2 per month basic...
I got an Ohme Home Pro installed yesterday and have similar questions about the cabin preheating.
Do I still need to go into the MG iSmart app and turn on the HVAC before I leave? Is there no way to schedule it? What does the Ohme "Cabin Preheating" schedule feature actually do?
I recently got R33 installed on my SE LR and have since found Carplay to be very temperamental. It either doesn't start up at all, or it will just cut out after 5 minutes.
Has anybody else had this problem? I'm unsure whether it's an issue introduced by the software update or somethings wrong...
I think I was hugely overthinking it (got to stop doing that). Thanks for all your replies. I've asked for it to be installed in the Garage. DNO notification already sent out so looking forward to having it installed soon.
I'm finally getting around to ordering a Home Charger. I've decided upon the Ohme Home Pro as it allows me to use the OVO/Octopus special rates (currently an OVO customer) and the convenience of the tethered cable seemed good.
However, I am not sure whether to place the unit on the inside or...
I picked my MG4 up on 12th August and the certificate of conformity says it was manufactured in May 2023. I've not noticed anything unusual given the amount of time it would have been in storage. Battery/Range is perfectly fine and more or less as expected.
I recently picked up my MG SE LR, and it is not just my first EV but also my first "New" car where I am dealing directly with the official dealership. I have been able to book in a software upgrade very quickly. The lady on the phone offered something the same week I was calling but due to my...
I’ve just put some air into my tyres for the first time as they were a bit low and I have a long drive coming up very soon, I found the manual says 2.5 bar/37 psi so I put 37psi into each tyre.
I’ve now scanned the car with the app about 30 minutes later and it’s now saying my tyres are at 0...
Hi, I recently joined the forum as I picked up my first EV, an MG4 SE LR, and I'm quite interested in the MG lineup in general, I think they're great value.
I'm also a Software Engineer, so pretty interested in all the tech too.
I have had my mg4 for only a few weeks and currently don’t have a wall charger at home, but I work from home so I also dont have an opportunity to plug into an AC charger at my place of work either. As such, when I get the opportunity to charge I have found myself tending towards using rapid...
SE LR, I recently picked up the car and it has R21. I called and asked about getting it updated but they said they can't do it unless either it's in for service or there's a software problem. Maybe the DAB issue could convince them to give me R33.
